Well, that makes sense, since I have that clown on ignore(as everyone should). "Potentially a couple of months" is not "several months". But I think most sober individuals understand that. Hopefully he's back fairly quickly.

Is there any mention what the injury is? Wondering if it’s the same injury he was dealing with at the end of the season.

Significant time and"poisibly the whole season" according to Scott Powers article(which I did not read but read quoted from an article on a popular Hawks fansite which apparently did subscribe to The Athletic and read his article.

So this is bad news...

If he misses tge season ,I guess Michigan then redshirt him so the woukd bexaxrddshirtcsoph Next season if he does not pjay this season.. which means theoretically 4 more years starting next season or at least 3 more before he leaves if he goes a popular route followed by many IF his education triumphs over a desire to turn pro earlier.

If education is paramount he can graduate after 4 years at Michigan but still be able to pkay another year if hegets redshirtforcthisxseadon...IF turning probearluer is his dream then the pkan to pkaynnaybebonlyv2vyears in Michigan is delayed a year..OR maybe he decidescto sihn an ELC before next seadon starts and then plays 1 year asxa 19 year old in the OHL instead of returning to college?

Not sure what his plans or new plans may be after this devastating setback.

We are not told what tge surgery is exactly and no details on IF he can get back to his form afterxsurgerycandcre-hab or if this could end his career if he cannot function100% Nymorexafter surgery.

So a lot of uncertainty going on with this news.

He’s so young still. I’m sure he’ll be fine and there’s absolutely zero reason to rush him along

I hope it's not hip surgery.
Found this quote in an article from the Michigan coach.

“It stinks not to have Frankie Nazar in the lineup,” Naurato said. “He’s a special kid. He’s a great player for Michigan down the road, great player for the Blackhawks. Just hope he gets better soon, but I’m sure he’ll come out stronger from this and learn a little bit (about himself). It’s not some crazy injury that somebody hasn’t had, but I think it makes you appreciate your body. If you can do that at an earlier age versus later, I think that’s an advantage.”

Sounds like they're just going to be careful and make sure he's absolutely 100% before he comes back.

Is it just me or is it odd how cagey they're being with what kind of injury he has?
Yeah, but at the same time, he's a college player, and just 18 years old? Not sure about the rules about divulging medical info with an 18 year old college athlete, so I'm basically just throwing shit at the wall. Could have something to do with it, though, idk.

Not really. Kaiser had surgery on his hand last year and missed a couple of games. It was "officially" announced as an illness by Minnesota-Duluth. It wasn't until a post season podcast that Kaiser disclosed the surgery.

So bummed that he couldn't show his stuff to start the season....hopefully, he's not sidelined for months upon months.....I honestly believe we could see 5 NHLers eventually from this recent draft.

Saw this on another Hawks blog:

Update on Nazar by his coach Brandon Naurato.

"There’s a goal of (Nazar) maybe in a couple weeks jumping on the ice, but I have no clue if he’s gonna be back or not,” Naurato told reporters Tuesday. “If it is, it’s a huge bonus. If Frankie does come back, he’ll be at 100%. For me, it’s the same reason you get the surgery, you think about their body, and he’s got 15-20 years of hockey, so just thinking about the kid."

Nothing definite but at least gives some hope he may come back before next season.

Just want him 100000% healthy before ever playing. If that is next year so be it.

Wondering if we'll get a shock return for the big series against MN this weekend.
