Laine struggling on the smaller ice. He'll adapt and be fine in time though.

Karlsson is playing alot more defensive hockey than I expected him to do, more lik he did in a stint of last season with Ottawa where he's just contributing with passes.

He's not rushing like he used to do and it's kind of sad we won't see that. That's a big part of his game to create oddman rushes.

I don't understand the bashing of Laine, of course it'll be tough for him to be a prominent player against an elite Swedish team. He's not exactly facing Kazakstan here.

This is even tougher than the NHL, as a kid, what is he expected to do?

The problem is this is a tournament. If the guy sucks, he shouldn't be on the team. If you're expecting nothing from him, why put him on the team?

Serious question, has Landeskog even scored a goal for Sweden ever? He just seems to do nothing but skate around taking boneheaded penalties and having plays die on his stick.

And who would you use to replace him? The kid is 18 and hasn't even played in the NHL yet, he will improve.

Because unlike Canada, Finland doesnt have so many players to choose from. And btw Laine doesnt suck, hes just a bit off like half of the team Finland. You suggesting we should change half of our NHL players to Liiga or KHL players because exhibition match?

This is a rehearsal game. You can be like that in three and a half periods.

He changed his game after his sliced achilles. Sad to see.

Erm, no, this is not a tournament, this a practice game. We'll see how it goes for him, but I think there have been some promising flashes there.

There's a guy who was the best player with Granlund in the medal games last WHC waiting his chance..

Who would you replace them with? It's not exactly like Finland has a forest of forwards ready for this kind of level of play. Plus he gets experience.

As for Laine, I wouldn't be too dissapointed as a Jets fan, even though he is struggling so much because no one is ready for games like these at 19 years old. There is literally no coverage for Laine in team Finland as it comes to the quality of the opponents he's playing against because it's impossible when everyone are playing best on best. In nhl you can shelter the minutes and have him play a lot of powerplay.

Stop playing Söderberg on the bp

He's not even close to being the worst Finn on the ice, so..
