The problem is this is a tournament. If the guy sucks, he shouldn't be on the team. If you're expecting nothing from him, why put him on the team?

The thing is we don't have anyone better at goal scoring to replace him with. It was him or Miikka Salomäki, who would have brought some other attributes to the team, but as we dont really have too many goal scorers the decision was to take Laine on the team.

Karlsson is playing alot more defensive hockey than I expected him to do, more lik he did in a stint of last season with Ottawa where he's just contributing with passes.

He's not rushing like he used to do and it's kind of sad we won't see that. That's a big part of his game to create oddman rushes.

It's the Swedish system and an exhibition game. In the olympics he didn't do it either. OEL and Hedman jump a lot less too. I think Sweden wants them to play that way. Karlsson made some nice passes this game IMO and has been solid I expect him to be a lot harder and skate more when the game matters

I have a feeling Pulju would perform much better than Laine in games like these in which you have to dig deep.

Laine is not in sync as player with the rest. He'd probably perform better in team like Sweden.

I can't believe that Finns are criticizing Laine so much. You have a super talented guy who is only EIGHTEEN years old.

Would be great to have Pulju's skating and size there. Well the time will come.

Finnish play-by-play guy has been talking to players during the break. Apparently there's 25 C in the hall and the ice is really bad.

Well only Kärpät fans are doing that because Laine outplayed both Aho and Puljujärvi in Liiga, World juniors and Worlds. They are just salty, dont mind them.
