so instead of quarantining himself for the mandatory 5 days in the US after testing postive, he decided to travel across the border to Vancouver. Yup. not smart at all. I'm still not certain that this represent s a material breach of contract but I guess we'll see what arbitration determines

ohhhhh boy.

That's not only against league rules. That's illegal federally and provincially in most places. You must quarantine and isolate until you test negative
So they are using the Kings playbook with Richards but replacing the drug bust at the border with a COVID bust at the border?

Uh… good luck with that.

I wonder if the issue is that he travelled to Vancouver while positive—which means he was then placed in Canadian quarantine for the required 10 days, which even if he had recovered from Covid would then have prevented him from playing in AHL games?
I suspect that he just wanted to sneak off to stay with family during his period of required quarantining and isolation which is an obvious violation of protocols. It's almost ridiculous to think that a full grown adult can't handle isolation for 5 days so I wonder at his state of mind at the moment.

Don’t people coming into Canada have to show they are vaccinated and a negative test?

Breaking protocols again? what a goof.
I can see lawsuits in the future for the Sharks over this though, either from Kane or his creditors.

Edit: Just saw the update, he probably doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Isn't knowingly boarding a flight and being aware of his positive COVID-19 test result a felony that could potentially land a person in jail? Plus if this is true that he also violated Canada's Covid protocols so he's potentially in trouble there also.
A felony isn't enough to void a guaranteed contract

that's a good question. I thought you need to provide a negative molecular COVID test result to enter the country too. Very weird

The card drops deep as does my arm.

I never Tolerate, 'cause to Tolerate is the Kane of firearm.
Beyond the walls of leaves, life is defined.

I think of terminal when I'm in a San Jose state of mind.

Hope Kane got some charm.
My firearm don't like no dirty harm.
Run up to the disarm and get the AHL farm.
In a San Jose state of mind.

What more could you ask for? The careless vax card?
You complain about contract.
I gotta like it though - somebody still speaks for the disregard.
Am I'm rappin' to the hard,
And I'm gonna move your needle.
Wasteful, reckless, rude, like a Covid case
Boy, I tell you, I thought you were a fake.
I can't take the contract, can't take the vax.
I woulda tried to fail I guess Kane got no tax.

I'm rappin' to the card,
And I'm gonna move you hard.
Yea, yaz, in a San Jose state of mind.

When I was young my Kane had a regard.
waz kicked out without no guard.
I never thought I'd see that canard.
Ain't a soul alive that could take Kane's disregard.
An inconsiderate health is quite the wealth.
Thinking of terminal, in a San Jose State of Mind....

Deep.

Well now we have an interlude for our album.

For our first song we have those lyrics so far.

Novak with no vax,
As Brown leaves town,
Evander gets rejected,
Everyone's a clown.

But it is what it is.
Evander, Brown and Novik.
Here a dick, there a dick, everywhere a dick.
If its a dick you want, baby, just take your pick.

There's no more touchdowns,
No Serbians, only Czechs,
There's no more wristshots,
And nobody's getting checks.

But it is what it is.
Evander, Brown and Novik.
Here a dick, there a dick, everywhere a dick.
If its a dick you want, baby, just take your pick.

So we need a third verse and ending.

And then the interlude.

Then specific songs about those three dudes.

I feel it people. This will be a hit.

Nothing clear cut about this.

"COVID protocols"? You mean the rules that change pretty much every second second, and are different for each team at different times?

Sharks have to feel confident about the move to go forward with it though.
to my knowledge, nothing has changed about providing your vaccination status

It may be if he was barred from entering the states or added to the no fly list for committing that felony on an air plane. Either of those things would prevent him from continuing his career and it could happen here
didn't something like that happen with Probert? for some reason I'm thinking it had something to do with heroin

Cocaine. It didn’t happen but there was some worry that it could.
He was arrested for possession and after that didn’t travel with the team to games in Canada over fear he wouldn’t be allowed to re-enter the USA afterwards.

A fool and his money are soon parted. He ruined his perfect life so easily. I want to say I'd been shocked or surprised if someone picks him up on a minimum deal, but I've seen NHL teams do worse.
didn't LA do something similar with Voynov (if I have the player correct)?
