He probably just needs a hug to put him on the straight & narrow. There happens to be a guy living in a big house in Ottawa that can provide that.
The Fans, The Ottawa Sens, his team mates, and the nation of Canada had absolutely no problem with Danny Heatley. He was a all-world POS, and you're telling me that Ottawa wouldn't welcome E. Kane? Give me a ******* break.

Who would have guessed cancer comes at a premium?

Since the start of the 2013-2014 season, MacArthur has scored at 52pts/82 games. Kane has scored at 49pts/82games since then.
Macarthur has scored at 23g/82 games. Kane has scored at 24g/82 games.
MacArthur is a great guy, a leader in the dressing room, and signed to a cheaper contract. Kane is.... none of those things.
What mistake?! You talk about him as though he doesn't exist on the ice. He's scored 30 goals before in his career. Why would OTT refuse that?! Some GM's actually ignore minor personal issues in order to win games. This is got to be a important thing for OTT's constant "win now" attitude.

Once. 5 years ago. Since then he has been involved in numerous off-ice issues which range from pissing off his teammates to being arrested. He is currently involved in a lawsuit filed by a woman who claims he caused "bodily injury including lacerations, extensive bleeding requiring multiple surgeries and blood transfusions, and serious emotional trauma.†At the moment it seems more likely that he will be involved in a court battle than he will score 30 goals.
That said, he could definitely continue to be a 20 goal winger with a physical presence. If a team is in need of a second line goal-scoring winger and doesn't particularly care about the legal issues then they could offer up something for him. It won't be Ottawa, and it won't be a big offer. His ability is that of a second liner (though not if you need a playmaker), but his baggage drops his value below his ability.
Right now I think Buffalo keeps him because they want to. If anything else comes up I think they keep him because they have to, but if it is severe enough they will just suspend him, or worse.
Oh. Nevermind. Now I get it.
As a huge Heatley hater, what did Heatley do to deserve any bad reputation prior to coming to Ottawa?
I believe the answer is nothing.
What do you get?
That you aren't really basing your opinion on anything that makes sense.
Well, there's that whole Dan Snyder thing.
And by that you mean what?
"In late September 2003, Heatley drove his Ferrari approximately 130 km/h down a narrow, two-lane Atlanta road when he spun out of control and smashed into a brick and wrought-iron fence."
I mean it was the biggest mistake of his life and a stupid thing to do, but this is hardly anything similar to the way Kane conducts himself in his personal life and with his teammates (at least in Winnipeg).
Again I hate Heatley and think demanding a trade and then using your NMC to avoid going to specifics teams is nothing short of disgusting, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with Heatley before he came to Ottawa.

Almost total confusion.
So killing someone is ok (as long as you admit it was a big mistake) but what E. Kane does is somehow worse?
