I keep reading hes a good but flawed player. The reason being because the offence is so good and the D is not.

My question.. if the gold standard of defending, Rod Langway, were playing today... Would HF be shitting all over him because he was also a very good but flawed Dman. Great in his zone and bad in the offensive zone.

Nope. The main job of a defenceman is in the name of the position. There's simply no excuse for allowing a defenceman who can't play defence to dress in the lineup for any reason.

Just really don't like seeing defencemen who are defensive liabilities. As an opposing fan, I love seeing that pylon on the ice.
