I remember 10 years ago or about that Bosnian fans going nuts are overboard that they were on the up and going to surpass Croatia as being the dominant team in the region. Since then it’s been nothing but disasters for them and they basically are now looking for players with Bosnian roots in the Croatian league to cap tie them

How does Croatia produce the amount of players it does?

Portugal scores in the final minute after a long VAR check, Poland choking in Moldova

How does Croatia produce the amount of players it does?

The academies generally do a good job despite the lack of financing and infrastructure and there has to be some sort of genealogical reasons as well

Why is Janne still our coach? I hate how conservative our federation is and afraid of changes, from the top all the way to the bottom with Janne's team selections. Almost makes me enjoy our failures

If not the failure to qualify for Qatar, then the relegation to the C division in the nations league should’ve saw him get his walking papers.

Sweden and Norway are pretty much out, what a shame. Especially Norway would've been exciting to see, looks like only Denmark (pretty much 100%) and Finland (~70%) are close to qualifying from Nordics. Just highlights the meaning of draw pots, Denmark is A and Finland B.

Isak, Kulusevski and Forsberg deserves a better coach
Quite ironic that Toivonen-Berg lead Sweden from win to another and now probably historically good Swedish team isn't getting qualified to 24 team Euro tournament and their FIFA ranking (even though it's a joke nowadays) is 22.

Dream scenario for Scotland. Beat Cyprus in September and it's just about done. Norway still need to play Spain as well. Failing that Scotland still play Norway at home.

If this team had a better forward than Dykes they'd go far in a tournament.

Germany gonna finish last in their group in front of the home fans lol

What an embarrassment they’ve become. Times have changed and they’re no longer a power in world football. Seems crazy but it’s true. They let their youth system to go shit and this is the result. No more major tournament victories. Not even in the conversation. What a fall off.

Generally, 15 points in a 5-team group is enough, especially when the top two qualify. Add to the fact Norway's fixtures

I know everybody and their mother is being linked to Saudi Arabia now but apparently Dalic has an offer to coach Al-Nassr, the team Ronaldo plays for. He's turned down 'big money' moves in the past as he has a history in the Middle East and doubt he will leave in the middle of a campaign. What's interesting is despite his success he hasn't had much offers in Europe other than the Turkish league. His name was mentioned for Watford and Ajax in the past though not sure how realistic those were, especially Ajax who rarely hire foreign managers and he doesn't fit their profile (defensive coach). It hurts that he didn't have a great playing career abroad which helps the likes of Bilic, Tudor, Kovac and Juric who made names in the countries where they manage now (well Tudor never played in France but playing in Serie A opened the doors to coach there)

Courtois is a douchebag.. I never liked him at Chelsea. I always thought he could have risen to the occasion more than he did. Overall numbers were great but in the biggest of big games... balls got through him.
For Belgium... what has he really done for them? He overstepped here and should be dropped entirely.

In other news... Scotland are in dream land, Poland have to be wondering what the hell happened today.

That Sweden lineup today was shit and Olsen saved that from being a massacre. Luxemburg have managed to assemble a 13 or 14 player group that can really play...

The issue with Sweden is because of their poor Nations League campaign they are likely not even going to get a playoff spot should they finish outside the top two, would be pretty embarrassing for a country like that to miss out on a 24 team Euro. In fact looking at the NL rankings its pretty much impossible. Whats funny is Estonia, who are probably going to finish dead last in their group, is guaranteed a playoff spot and if all goes as expected they will be in the "easier" playoff bracket, though I have a hunch somebody from League A won't qualify directly (looking at Italy)

After all these years I still struggle to name anything Tielemans is actually good at
He's good at everything but also not very good at anything. A long shot once in a while.
And he's so lazy. Can't believe how overrated he was on this site.

Kosovo FA sack Alain Giresse after a poor start to qualifying, Bosnian manager Faruk Hadzibegic is very much on the hot seat, especially as he somewhat threw the players under the bus in his post-match presser

And it was made official today, Hadzibegic sacked after the home loss to Luxembourg. Bilic is a candidate but it appears he is going to Turkey and in the Croatian press he talked down the links. The other main candidate is Krstajic who managed Serbia in the 2018 World Cup but is currently managing Bulgaria

If we're the current U17 & U21 champions with our youth system having gone to shit, can you imagine how dominant we'll be once we get our shit together? :yo:

I wish they binned this new play-off format and returned to the old one.
