  • HFBoards is doing server maintenance Thursday March 13th at 9 AM GMT 5 AM EDT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. If draft were held today, Utah would be picking 11OA & Cgy 19OA despite only 3pts difference in standings.

Lots can happen in last 20GP
CGY only 2 points from 11th and 4 points from being in top 10. With an extremely difficult March schedule going to come right down to the wire I think.

I still feel CGY will be in the top 10 by seasons end. Let’s hope FLA doesn’t win the division!

With Boston and the Islanders having been sellers at the deadline, it is starting to look pretty good for us to draft twice between 11 and 18 this year, while enjoying a playoff chase for our favorite team. The odds of making the playoffs for Calgary and Montreal are below 30%, so, we are likely looking at two top 15 picks. Brady Martin, welcome to Montreal.

Let’s hope for benefit of Habs fandom they end season w 11OA pick

I’ve hated Calgary since ‘89 and they’ve done little since to change my mind.

They will surely f*** us. I’m positive of this

The Flames won't likely finish in the bottom 9 as the 9th OA has 63 pts which at this point in the season it's going to be very difficult to gain 7 or 8 pts depending on RW. The Blues have gotten hot of late but we'll see if they keep that up, but for now it's one of Nucks, Flames, Blues, Yotes for that final spot. Even the Ducks could make it interesting if they win those games in hand.

Glad they didn’t sell. At least now we know they won’t crater (knock on wood). It’s gonna come down to the wire between them and Vancouver I think.

I’m happy with them giving us pick 14-18.

Is it possible that McQueen or Frondell slip out of the top 10 because of their injuries and lack of exposure this year?

Also, would trading both first round picks be able to get Montreal to move up? Is it reasonable to think that 14th + 16th could get into Desnoyers range?
I would only consider moving up if it was to snag one of the top 4 (possibly) Desnoyers

So Vancouver ends up beating Calgary in a shootout, but still picks up a point.

Calgary & Vancouver are now tied at 71 pts, but Flames have played one less game.

Utah also won tonight. They & the Blues are 2 pts back of Calgary, but again Calgary holds a game in hand on both.

Blues can catch Calgary in points tomorrow when they play @ Pittsburgh.

Calgary's next game is Friday when they host Colorado.

Getting way too close for my liking. Only 3 points from 10th pick. And they have a pretty brutal schedule remaining. They could easily go on a 3-4 game losing streak and fall into the top 10.

I don’t know if it’s like this every year but damn, feels like there’s a lot of teams fighting for those WC spot this year.
