He and Maddison got into it during the season over the darts celebration. Maupay is flexing on Maddison for not making the squad, which, is pretty distasteful really.I'm missing some context with that one.

it is a little lame for maupay to be chatting shit about maddison getting cut from the england squad given that you'd have to have a Simpsons softball episode-esque cascading of misfortunes for maupay to even come within a stones throw of being contemplated for a squad for the euros. distasteful it most definitely is not, but i do find it pretty stupid

I mean on the other hand Maupay’s feelings are getting hurt by missing the French squad because he knows he isn’t getting near it. Got to hurt a lot worse to know you were one of the last cuts. Maupay also clearly legit does not like Maddison so he is going to throw some daggers (or some darts); he knows what his role is

I expected Maddison to get cut. There's a lot of competition for his position, and he didn't look the same since coming back from injury.
