Pre Madonna? So like…..Blondie? Cher?I was talking to a billet yesterday and they said that there’s still 1-2 “pre Madonna’s” in the room. Obviously they wouldn’t say who. I couldn’t figure out who they referenced.

Was just going to post this here. Is this a sign he could be gone next year? I’m not familiar with the ECHL.

I’d assume he’s gone. But not sure if he could be called back to us like D’Amato in 2021-22Was just going to post this here. Is this a sign he could be gone next year? I’m not familiar with the ECHL.
Nah. He’s signed to the Railers. He’s not part of an NHL organization looking for his best development path. The Railers signed him to help them win. My oldest daughter just graduated from a University in Worcester. It’s a solid org that I believe is still a NY Islanders farm team.I’d assume he’s gone. Good!! because now it forces Erie to actually use their top import pick or both picks if needed. I’m sure they considered keeping Kulakov, which would be a mistake imo, but this ends that hope. Makes it easier for a franchise that often makes things more complicated than they have to be. It’s nice when the writing is on the wall for them because otherwise they just bungle itNah. The ECHL is the league the Erie Panthers were in. Lots of Otters players have played minor league hockey after their age 19 season ended with the Otters then came back as overagers. Rekis and Sydlowski are 2 I can think of besides D'Amato. Was just going to post this here. Is this a sign he could be gone next year? I’m not familiar with the ECHL.
You sure? I don’t see that either of those guys played pro until after their OA seasons were done. The ECHL is the league the Erie Panthers were in. Exactly, but hey let’s keep Dave Brown around! After all he only hired Stan Butler because they’re buddies.Saginaw gets the 2024 Mem cup bid. Could have been Erie if they handled their rebuild much better than they have. If we had a competent GM and system in place the last few years, we could have won a bid in a year like this. Larger city, arena and events in Erie but they can’t even put their name in the hat because of the poor product on the ice. Not a big deal but I just think it’s another example of how much missed opportunity this franchise has had because they refuse to be competent
Erie is going to have a good roster as soon as next season.
exiting times to be a Otters fan.
Will Roobroeck report or do the Otters go Matthew Schaefer is the question I’d imagine now.
At least we just got 1st overall pick so that can’t hurt. Hopefully whoever they want will commit hereExactly, but hey let’s keep Dave Brown around! After all he only hired Stan Butler because they’re buddies.
Being friends gets you no where. A missed opportunity for Erie.
correctAnd first overall in the import draft too right?
Nope:And first overall in the import draft too right?
Well the first mistake you made was to rely on wiki for this type of info. Last year, Saginaw picked 2nd (1st from the O) and Erie picked 5th (2nd from the O) despite Niagara having the worst record and Erie the 4th worst. Unless the rules changed this year.. which I’m not aware of but someone correct if wrongNope:
It goes in order of the league standings. Looks like the worst they will be picking is 6th.CHL Import Draft - Wikipedia

Edit to add that Molnar is NHL draft eligible. Hopefully, the team that drafts him convinces him to come back next season.

No. You get the best player you can who fits Spence and Roobroecks timeline. Likely an 06.Delete
correct
If they are smart, and if Roobroeck will commit, they take him 1 and then use import on a more polished defender who can step in more easily from day 1 as opposed to a 16 year old dman
Yes but an 06 is still older, more experienced than an 07. I’m just suggesting they go defense in the import to balance out the roster especially now that they have a defensive first coach. That said, if you have an 06 forward in the import that will for sure commit and is for sure a special talent, I don’t think you ignore that.No. You get the best player you can who fits Spence and Roobroecks timeline. 2nd, Edmonton had the worst record in the CHL.And first overall in the import draft too right?
