Never had Kale pesto. But where the Bride is Portuguese I can live off of Portuguese kale soup.

Caldo verde.

Outstanding stuff.
Portuguese cooking might just be my favourite all time cuisine

Ya….I’ve had the best of 2 worlds my whole life .

I’m 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Portuguese.

Good stuff.

She handles most cooking. I take care of weekly sauce, sausage and meatballs.

It sounds like the banks in the US are as competent as the banks in Canada. We had nightmares with several banks after my parents passed, no one seemed to know what they were doing. Another bank screwed up my daughter's mortgage, it is hard to even describe.

Yesterday my other daughter got a debit card in the mail from a bank she has never dealt with. She spent all morning at a bank branch and then at the police station. It is mind boggling how pathetic all of this has been.
It turns out they had her SIN too. Very suspicious. I guess whoever did this hoped to intercept the card in the mailbox because it turned out to be a renewed debit card. We have to go to the PO to get our mail. Scary though!

do you have a special meatball recipe to share....we won't tell anybody

I usually go by eye.

but here goes nothing.
Makes 2 dozen just a bit bigger than golf ball size.

3 lbs 85-15 or 90-10 ground beef.
4 - 5 eggs
Italian flavored breadcrumbs
Garlic powder
Dried sweet basil
grated parmesan cheese
Worcestershire sauce

Get a big bowl Mix in layers 1 lb at a time.
Using nothing but hands.

Hamburger, add shakes of grated cheese, garlic powder shake, add basil, splash of Worcestershire, add bread crumbs couple of cups. Add egg. Work with hands vigorously.

Repeat on top second pound layer then third. How good you work it the better taste consistency. May need extra egg depending on how much bread crumb.
Roll into individual balls. Bigger than golfball but smaller than tennis ball.

I like to use pyrex baking pans.
Spray a bit of Pam in pan.
Place meatballs in pan.
Preheat oven to 350
Bake ~ 30 to40 minutes

Place these nearly fully cooked meatballs into your already made sauce on stove.
Let cook another hour or longer very low heat.

My son is doing a survey for his class. Out of these four options, which is your favorite cereal?
Cap'n Crunch
Froot Loops
Frosted Flakes
Fruity Pebbles

For me, the choice is obvious. But it's getting trounced right now by a lesser part of a complete breakfast.

Frosted Flakes.

I do love Fruity Pebbles. I prefer Cocoa Pebbles in all honesty.

But Frosted Flakes 4eva

As a kid? Froot Loops all the way. Today? I don't eat sugar and try to limit carbs, so none of them. Breakfast is a cafe macchiato with almond milk and stevia.
