He would be flying to Laval like last year (his SHL playoffs ended early April that year), because it appears the Habs won't clear enough vets forwards at the deadline to have a spot for him and Farrell in the line-up.From what I can figure out from the SHL website the season ends on March 8. I'm guessing they have playoffs after? At what point can we expect Heineman to fly to Montreal?
There is no roster limit after TDL and we might just sit the Dadonov and Drouin to play Farrell and HeinemanHe would be flying to Laval like last year (his SHL playoffs ended early April that year), because it appears the Habs won't clear enough vets forwards at the deadline to have a spot for him and Farrell in the line-up.
Maybe we should sign Farrell before penciling him into the line up.He would be flying to Laval like last year (his SHL playoffs ended early April that year), because it appears the Habs won't clear enough vets forwards at the deadline to have a spot for him and Farrell in the line-up.
They can’t sign him until after he finished his college career but he did say something along the lines that he wanted to be on the Canadiens as soon as possible, when interviewed recently so I’m not too worried about that.Maybe we should sign Farrell before penciling him into the line up.
Technically this would be his junior year because he played in the USHL one more year because of covid, that tells me he is ready. They can’t sign him until after he finished his college career but he did say something along the lines that he wanted to be on the Canadiens as soon as possible, when interviewed recently so I’m not too worried about that.
Same. He’s definitely stepping in full of confidence. The only thing that would make it better is if Habs get Coronato and they both step into the lineup at the same time with Heineman on their wing.Technically this would be his junior year because he played in the USHL one more year because of covid, that tells me he is ready.
I know we clamor about being smallish but I can't wait to watch him play a few games in Montreal.
Yep playoffs finished march 29th for his team last year. They lost in the first round so it could be later this year.He would be flying to Laval like last year (his SHL playoffs ended early April that year), because it appears the Habs won't clear enough vets forwards at the deadline to have a spot for him and Farrell in the line-up.
I hope both Farrell and Heineman impress enough to earn NHL jobs this year and next fall, and then we clear vets in order to make room for them.He would be flying to Laval like last year (his SHL playoffs ended early April that year), because it appears the Habs won't clear enough vets forwards at the deadline to have a spot for him and Farrell in the line-up.
Lucky as the habs are this year, Heineman will get injured before coming to MTL.From what I can figure out from the SHL website the season ends on March 8. I'm guessing they have playoffs after? At what point can we expect Heineman to fly to Montreal?
He Is smallish.Give him games in the AHL. first to see if he can play against Professional MenTechnically this would be his junior year because he played in the USHL one more year because of covid, that tells me he is ready.

Been a long, long time the farm has not been stacked. Takes me back to the K bros, Ryder, Higgins, Pk, Price, Grabovsky… All the kids that made nhlers (forgot Plekanec and Patches…Komisarek, Latendresse, Halak…)Some of the prospects making big jumps this year. The AHL ranks are going to be pretty my full next year with this infusion of young talent.

When is the last time we had a good farm team in the last 2 decades?Heineman, Farrell, Struble, Roy, Kidney, Mailloux, Davidson, possibly Tourigny, very likely Mesar.
Then you add Caufield, Slaf, Guhle, Dach, Harris, Barron, Xhekaj, Simoneau, RHP, Ylonen, Norlinder & Trudeau.
Barring any trades, all of these guys will be in Montreal or Laval.

With Pitlick possibly down, they may call him up but I think the idea is to have him for Laval to acclimate to NA ice and to shore them up for the PO’s.Been a long, long time the farm has not been stacked. About Heinemann — no chance habs call him up?
That's a long time ago. The best of Price, Kostitsyn, Subban and Paccio. After that : desert, (criquets noise). We did win a Calder Championship in 2007......
Not like that team dominated the league, though. Halak played a really good season and Price had an incredible run to the cup. Playoff boxscores tended to be shots 32-8 against but the team still up 2-0.We did win a Calder Championship in 2007......
I'd like to see him with Montreal, compare how he does with Gurianov, guess it's a longshot though.I'm pretty high on Heineman, Really hoping he's able to finish the season with the Rocket here so we can see how he does after having one more SHL season under his belt since last training camp.
