A superstar who hasn’t produced in the playoffs...yet. I still wouldn’t trade Marner for a healthy Eichel, he’s not what we need. I would trade Marner for a stud defenceman though.

I like Marner. I just think he's the most obvious player to trade if the Leafs are interested in making a big move to shake things up. He's valuable but not as valuable as Matthews. He's movable and he has a huge cap hit. I'd keep Nylander over Marner just because of the $4M in cap savings. Tavares has a NMC. So that leaves Marner. That's the only reason I suggested him as a trade option.

Marner made them both high scoring centers. Both scored more goals playing with him as did Kadri and JVR .

I think tavares is best suited center, for life and has been sire. He ain't moving to the wing never in his career. Like for games and all. He has a fine faceoff ability too and likes that challenge. Our captain is where he stays sire. I don't think we is wanting the neck injured eichel ever in his life. Some otha sucka, a loser team is milord.

Tavares will probably finish his contract here as a winger

I'll say it again: Marner straight up.

- Buffalo might go for it because they're under pressure and certainly won't get fair value plus Marner's deal was very front loaded so there are monetary incentives.

- Eichel has a give-a-shit quality to his game that this team seems to be missing.

- The team clearly needs a shakeup and a message sent.

Based on what? Finally wanting out of Buffalo? 0 playoff games? Some of you say this now but as soon as he has a bad game people who say this would say he's just another loser lol.

What is your facts to support your claim.

Marner has produced better. Is better defensively. Makes players on his line better. Is not a dressing room issue. Kills penalties. It all adds up to a much better player.

I'd like to see Eichels stats if he had Tavares or Matthews as a linemate or Draisaitl. Marner has had an elite linemate for every year of his career except his first. I don't think Eichel has ever had one.

Marner's a great player but I think you're discrediting Eichel.

Marner probably has more value given Eichel needs surgery but if healthy Eichel is more valuable especially factoring in hes a center.
