Not sure about league wide but not the case for the Jets. The Jets are drawing penalties so far at a rate higher than the last 3 seasons, instead of Ehlers leading by a country mile, it is guys like Dubois, Harkins and Lowry leading them
hmm ok. was just wondering. last couple weeks we seen public attention to guys like matthews and mcdavid not getting calls. so wondering how it looks league wide.

It’s amazing ehlers has looked great out there as KFC has taken a step back.
I don’t think Connor has taken a step back at all. I thought he was extremely dangerous against the Leafs, and gasp worthy plays seem to come out of him several times a game.

I do think that Ehlers is starting to use his speed again but I think his stickhandling is still a bit off from his norm.

Unfortunately Ehlers is no longer drawing penalties like he used to:

Maybe he is no longer getting the benefit of doubt from the refs or maybe it's bad luck but his penalty draw rate has fallen off big time this season so far.
Honestly I think it's a product of his play. He hasn't been as fast or sharp and I think it's putting the opposition in less scenarios where they have to foul him because they're beat.

I also think the refs see him dive or look their way after an infracton so often that they aren't calling as many this year.
Ehlers needs to dummy up and stop acting like that. This isn't the QMJHL.

Will be tough for the Jets to overcome if he’s out long term and/or for the rest of the season.

Dirty play by Orlov and it’s unfortunate that even if the DOPS wheel lands on a one-game suspension, it doesn’t do anything for us.

Told ya he's going for the ol extended allstar break. This is a textbook winnipeg players move, more than any other team in the league. I'm not saying it's not a significant injury, but I do find it funny how often our stars are out for weeks and weeks with injuries that don't require surgery (see Buff).

I think Ehlers would drop kick a puppy if that allowed him to play tomorrow. I don't think there is a chance in hell he wants to miss a single game.

Ridiculous post. I will leave it at that.

I don’t think you are correct with your assumption

I tend to agree. Nik draws draw penalties with his speed but he is also an embellisher. He needs to pick his spots a bit more.

I think Nik might have been battling an injury early in the season too. He didn’t seem quite as explosive.

Yep.

Nik may dramatize the odd foul (he was a very, very good youth footballer, remember) but he also takes a ton of punishment, much of it straight-up or borderline penalties all game long game in game out, and shrugs most of it off and still drives play and scores like a champ. He is no malingerer, nope, not a chance.

Here's hoping he heals up properly and soon.

he has a source, he also called schmidt even after we got dillon and people reported that he wasn't willing to waive.
