First Line:

Zibanejad playing at an 80 point pace.
Buchnevich around a 70 point pace.
Kreider below a 40 point pace.

KZB was absolutely awful today as a whole. That line got shredded at ES.
They were quiet for sure ES but as Maloney said in pregame this team still has to win by committee. As a team. The KZB line is terrific but are they at that level where they can carry the team night in night out? probably not

Lost in translation? Hank spoke to a swedish journalist. The interview was in swedish, published in a swedish newspaper.

And yes I do speak swedish and that is why I can confirm the fact that he indeed said the mask has thinner bars to improve his vision.

Give it a rest already.

The Aftonbladet article wasn't by Bjurman. It was basically a Swedish translation of the following article in NYP:

"Lundqvist said he normally goes through about three or four masks a season, this way he can auction them
off for charity. His previous mask had a navy blue cage on the outside, but the inside of the pipes were painted
white for better vision. This cage is all silver, and Lundqvist had the insides of the pipes sanded down so that there is less glare."

If puljujuarvi looked that good, and chytil is almost doubling his production in the AHL....

O My
I wish it worked that way. Puljujarvi Did look dangerous today but lets see how he continues to play over a little bit more of a stretch of games.

Can’t argue with anything here. He looks great the last two nights specifically and the mask and pads are unreal let’s call a spade a spade lol
Yep he was great in Tampa too. Honestly he’s looked very good the last five games despite a few bad goals here and there the overall sum has been him creeping back to looking like the Henrik were used to. Just paying attention to his movements and tracking the puck have all been rounding toward normal. And his angles and not losing his net and being confident playing the shooter and staying in control.

IMO he’s looking better than he did at any point last season aside from the Montreal series. Last season even when he had a good night he still looked like he was fighting it and having trouble tracking the puck. The last handful of games he’s looked like he’s been tracking the puck well and very on top of everything. He hasn’t looked like he’s fighting it. Very good news to me.

It’s a thing we’re last season he just didn’t look like himself most nights. He looked a step behind and like he was smaller in the net and like he had lost a step. This season even in his games with bad goals I haven’t seen any of that. That’s why his play has been very encouraging overall to me.

Laugh all you want
My point is proven and then some
since we see he would not be limited only to Kreider and MacK

You laugh now
He who laughs last laughs best

Dude, what the f*** are you talking about? I was talking about Duguay pronouncing names in a weird way. Don't make everything about you.

They've been at that level throughout this season, but even if they stay at that level, we need the guys behind them to score if we want to be a contender and not a bubble team.

Lundqvist--excellent game.

IMO Edmonton outplayed us the first two periods. It was their two penalties in the second that allowed our power play to take the game away from them. The third period the Rangers were good though.

Have to say that Nash was really good. Buchnevich is going to be a great player. Shattenkirk makes our power play so much better. Easily the best power play point man we've had since Brian Leetch.

Read the post article then give it a rest yourself. You’re the one that got nasty remember that.

No goalie is going to thin out a cat eye mask and live to tell about it.

In English he clearly stated what he did. He sanded down the inside of the chrome to reduce glare. What sounds more likely?

He did not thin the bars out on a design already risky for pucks to barely be able to not pass thru to risk his life.

Nice, really nice.
Edit: good to see them winning well at home. Just package that up and take it on the road.

In defense of Kreider, It's not just about the points. Points are overrated in this league, it's also about doing all the little things, like crashing the net, screening the goalie and playing physical for that line and Top PP unit.

This may come as a surprise to people, but players get hot and cold at different times. Kind of hard to take pace charts seriously 1/5th of the way through the season.
