Lol the bars are not thinner actually he has a thicker reinforced center bar now Ala Quick.

What he did though was sand down the inside which reduces glare. Interesting but I don’t think this is anything more than a coincidence.

He was still letting up 3 a game 4 games into this win streak. He’s just gained confidence with the wins and now he’s getting better. Last two games he’s been very very good

A lot of guys think the little things in the equipment add up. Maybe the tiny change made hank think there was a difference so he played with more confidence

Yeah the Hayes line was great tonight even though Zucc have 0 self confidence - not sure how he miss on open net chances and hit Talbot skate instead - really poor. And still with poor finishing - one of Zucc better games this season - Nash & Zucc stoped the McDavid line so many times in the neutral zone.

I'm enjoying the KZB line just as much but maybe i'm in minority but I enjoy watching a balanced 3-4 line attack even more especially throughout an 82 game season.

We were 50/50 CF and xGF was like 51%, against a good team. I will take it.

xGF% was better than 51. It was almost 60/40 Rangers.

That's been a theme with the Rangers this year to lose the corsi by a bit and win the xG by a lot.

You can get away with doing the "quality" thing if you stay close in corsi. You just can't do it if you're getting your teeth kicked in, which we haven't.

He said himself after last game the new mask has thinner bars to improve his vision.

I can't wait til the trade deadline, when this team is first in the division, and trades half their players to teams not in a playoff spot. That's definitely something that makes sense.
