67% of your posts have to do with negative "facts" regarding Kreider. Just admit you have an agenda.

I admit that I believe that Kreider might be the single biggest underachiever I have seen in 50 seasons of watching Rangers hockey. He might be the fastest skater on the team. He IS the strongest player on the team. He can utterly dominate a game, yet he is far more likely to disappear for 5 games at a time. If he never looked great, I wouldn't care, but every once in a while he is by far the best player on the ice, and physically dominating. Why is that?

Why is he a sacred cow to you?

Staal, Nash, Lundqvist, Vesey, and Hayes are shit on by the same posters in almost every thread, yet no one ever gets personally offended like you and a few others who can't stand it if I point out something negative about Kreider.

Everyone here has players they like and don't like. If you can't handle your precious Kreider being criticized, perhaps you're a bit too sensitive.

It's not my fault that his two linemates are having much better seasons than he is, so far.

Question to people who understand the game better than me. Was Buch's goal an example of bad D on the PK or Buch just finding an open spot on the ice in perfect position? Both?

Neither. The goal is a pretty good example of using quick passes to open up the PK and allowing the extra player to be open. Essentially, it's the man in man advantage.

It's very hard for a PK to defend against, although not exactly easy to execute for PP players either. A little good luck for the Rangers with the one Oilers stick just barely missing the puck too.

I don't understand what makes him an underachiever.

Yes, he's big and fast, but is he a great passer? Does he have great hands? A great shot?

I'd say the answer to all of those is not really. Just because he's big and fast and physically dominant doesn't mean he should be a superstar. He's a good first line winger. I think it's more that your expectations are unrealistic.

This is a funny post because i actually don't like kreider. But yeah keep guessing.

Oilers PK is not very good either. I still think I saw an Oiler's stick blade tip that pass from Shattenkirk, but regardless, the Oilers have allowed a lot of PP goals. Not taking a thing away from that great goal.

A lot of very skilled speedsters have entered the league since Kreider has. That's not to say he isn't a solid top six guy, he is, it's just that he doesn't really bring a special skillset anymore. It's pretty amazing how quickly the league is evolving tbh.

Whenever I think about Kreider I end up thinking about what he could do. If he combined his speed with his power with his short-temper. That would be a very fun guy to have and occasionally we see it out of him. Someone needs to give him a puppy then take it away from him.

Maybe he's a pet rock kind of guy.

Shattenkirk is the biggest reason the PP is so awesome...its not just that hes moving the puck with ridiculous passes..its that hes a legit threat to score from the point at any time...with wrist shots thanks to that HUGE underachiever Chris Kreider taking away the goalies eyes the entire time.

Shatty has been ridiculous...give Buch and Zib all the credit, theyve been great, but it all starts with Shattenkirk...passing, shooting, regrouping, holding clears in...just absolutely ridiculous how good hes been.

How is he in his own zone, tho?

Man, I love Stepan but that trade was awesome just for the cap space we got for Shattenkirk. He isn't great in his own zone, but his offensive play is better than 75% of the forwards playing in the NHL today.
