1-1-2 in 9 games and was healthy scratched for a couple more.

I think overall it was good for him to get the 9 games. He was shot out of a cannon the first few games, but was noticeably not as quick/aggressive as things went along. Hopefully he takes everything he learned, dominates for the oil kings, and comes back stronger than ever. Kid definitely has a future.

This lineup is insanely deep. What’s crazy is that Guenther hasn’t even hit his stride yet. Demek still adjusting to NA ice surface and life in Canada. Now they get Jake back

Jalen Luypen had 2 goals and was named first star, as the Oil Kings (15-3-3 ) quelled the Red Deer Rebels 5-3. Dylan Guenther had a goal and an assist and was named 2nd star. Carson Golder (SH) and Josh Williams (PP) each had a goal. Jake Neighbours had 3 assists and was named 3rd star. Jakub Demek (2), Simon Kubicek, Luke Prokop, Dawson Seitz and Logan Dowhaniuk had assists. Sebastien Cossa (W 12-3-3) made 30 saves for the win. PP was 1/7, PK 2/3. Shots were 33-29 Red Deer. Oil Kings won 39 of 77 faceoffs.

I just hope they are able to get the full season and playoffs in this year. Such a shame the past two years with the talented team they’ve had. Fingers crossed.

Not yet. However he’s a lock. Only way he gets left off is covid or injury. I do kind of wish the guys from European teams playing in NA would quarantine right now and not risk anything at all.
