Question. What's the best method of watching games? Is there a network for the WHL? Want to take in some Bedard games, haven't done so since the mem cup in McDavids last year.

If I am not mistaken, the Oil Kings won't have a 1st round draft pick for 4 years now?

They have gone All In. Someone should explain what All In is to Holland. He thinks it is just spending to the cap.

The OKs had better win it all or all of these costly trades will be judged as a massive failure.

I got a lot of making up to do.

On January 1st, Jalan Luypen (PPG and named 1st star) and Jaxson Weibe (3rd star) both a goal and an assist, as the Oil Kings greased the Blades 4-1. Simon Kubicek and Luke Prokop (GWG) also scored. Dylan Guenther and Logan Dowhaniuk each had 2 assists, with Josh Williams and Carter Souch with 1 each. Sebastien Cossa (W 16-3-3) made 15 saves for the win. Shots were 40-16 Edmonton. PP was 2/6, PK 3/4. The Kings won 37 of 63 faceoffs and took 6 penalties for 20 minutes.

Anyone want to take their son or daughter to the Oil Kings 2 PM afternoon game vs Winnipeg on Family Day this Monday?

I have my 2 Loge tickets on the rail, literally 2 of the best seats in the house you can have, free of course. They just resumed in seat food and beverage service as well.

Just shoot me a DM!

I wish there was a similar thread for university hockey or maybe it can be rolled into this one, but the UofA Golden Bears at nationals are looking very, very strong. In their last three games they have 21 goals against elite competition. They play tomorrow evening in the gold-medal game, available at CBC Sports (I don’t know if the bronze- and gold-medal games are televised).

Seen this movie way too many times. Bears head to Nationals as the favorites, end up out shooting some team by a ridiculous margin, and lose the game in OT.

Oil Kings up 2-0 in their first round series against the Hurricanes and look completely dominant. Should be a sweep. Surprised at the small turnout for the crowds so far especially with game 2 being on a Saturday.

Kind of like the Oilers during their dominating days. The first round ws a snorefest sweep. Everyone perked up as the competition got better in the 2nd round and onward.

Honestly I'm not hearing a whole heck of a lot about the Oil Kings on local radio. I usually listen on way to work and on way home, as we a couple times a month at lunch when I'm out and about
