Edmonton Oil Kings/Junior Hockey thread

I guess the Oil Kings finally have an opponent that can play with them, although we outplayed them last night but had some bad luck around their goal. I still don’t see us losing this series. Lots of Seattle fans in the building last night.

Seattle is proving a more difficult out than I think many expected. They're doing a great job clogging things up and counter attacking.

Seattle is a strong team. I think the unfamiliarity is playing a part as well. Took a few games to figure out the way Seattle wants to play. The Oil Kings have put up over 40 shots both games so far, just had bad luck/ran into a hot goalie in game 1. Oil Kings in 6!

Seattle is proving to be much better than expected. I’ve been at both games so far and the OKs are better but we’ve had some bad luck at the Seattle net. I’m not worried; Oil Kings in 6.

Watched the game last night. That was some good hockey. Some very impressive players on this team, and some great physical hockey.

That Rempe on the Thunderbirds is nuts! 6'9! I bet he gets a sniff in the show just to see if he can make it work. I don't remember a guy that big since John Scott or Keegan Kanzig

Let’s not get too confident about the Oil Kings taking it all until it happens. I’m a Golden Bears fan, too, and have been disappointed before when one loss and it’s over. Having said that, they have to be a strong favourite to take it all. Tune into TSN tonight at 8 to see if they can win on the road again against a really good team. Go, Kings!

Josh Williams scores twice. First on a loose puck deep in the slot and then some nice dangling from the right board to Milic's left before potting it. 2-1 Oil Kings.

Cossa is going to be so good. As of this very moment if you put him on the oilers roster he would be the best goalie in the org.

Too bad Detroit got itchy fingers and took him at 15. If he was still around at 20, Holland would've grabbed him. Instead, there was only Wallpaper at 20. Cossa will have a fine career. Wallflower needs to be on a very defensive team, like the Wild, to help cover his flaws.

Huge error in the oilers not taking wallstedt, I don't care how nice bourgueux is looking at the moment. Epic Holland fail, just like the zegras/broberg choice.
