Congrats to the boys, it really sucked for them the past two years having an excellent team and then having no playoffs, so a very well deserved championship. Hats off to Hill for a fantastic job on building the team, and to Lauer who ran a great bench. Nice to see so many local boys do well. Best of luck at Mem Cup.

Memorial cup field is set with Hamilton, Shawinigan, and Saint John joining the Oil Kings. Even if Guenther is not cleared to play, I like the Kings chances this year especially with our defence and goaltending in a one game winner take all final.

Hamilton looks really slow. They’ve got some big physical dman who can hit and block, but can’t move the puck really. I think they will continue to struggle with the aggressive forecheck that will be prevelant at the memorial cup.

5 minute major and a game misconduct for board for Oil King's Golder. Bit of a tough call, going into the corner and the opponent tries to puck protect but is outmuscled and goes in head first. Should have been 2 minutes in my mind
