Maybe you're right, maybe you're not. All I know is Ladd just got signed until he's 37 at a slightly lower AAV so if teams were willing to pay that I find it hard to believe that no one was willing to give Lucic 7 other than us.

This reminds me so much of what the Leafs said when they gave Clarkson the worst contract in NHL history. "The Habs and Oilers were offering even more than us, so surely David is a bargain"

For all the whining about the Oilers' moves this off-season, they're a better team now than they were a week ago.

I think all of HF has been waiting for these guys to make some moves and turn the corner in their rebuild, and they're finally doing that. Lucic makes them tougher. Larsson gives them, at long last, a quality RHD.
