I'd prefer Andersson, if that'd work for you then it definitely works for me.

Yakupov was reportedly available for a 3rd last trade deadline and nobody wanted him at that price. Not interested even if it was 1-for-1 for either one of those pieces, let alone both.

No thanks. I say we hang onto Yakupov if these are the offers.

 The Oilers aren't getting a top prospect and a 2nd for Yakupov when no team is willing to give up a 3rd round pick alone

I'd give up a 5th and a player like Bouma/Chiasson or a marginal prospect like Bruce+3rd at the most but it's pretty apparent that Yakupov's value is essentially non-existent.

Calgary says get bent, Yak isn't even worth the 2nd round pick.

Yakupov doesn't even get that 2nd, let alone a top prospect.

Only trade that makes sense for both teams is one that's been tossed around for months.

Wideman(retained salary) for Yakupov straight up

At this point, Yak apparently isn't even worth that 2nd. Let alone one of our top prospects.

Rather hang onto Yak. But the Oilers can take Wideman off your hands if you include a throw in like Andersson/Kylington

Because YOU 'say so' ?

Not very convincing. Here. Lets make it real simple

You worry about the Flames players. We will worry about our own players. Thanks in advance. :)

Brutal.

Not even sure if we give up the 2nd little less Kylington who is raw but has very high upside. You can't trade prospects like that and not regret it. We have a glaring hole on our first line RW but not sure if he's the guy to fill it. I want someone big that wins corner battles and can plant himself in front of the net.

I'd assume it is in reference to the fact that multiple 'insiders' have reported Yakupov's current value is below that of a 2nd round pick. Just a guess.

Serve up the links that say so instead of just claiming it.

Show all these 'insiders' as you claim.

Member when Yak was the #1 prospect in the draft? Member when he was picked #1 overall?

Oilers fans need to stop eating their member berries.

"Top prospect" must mean something different to you than it does to me.

I'm not sure why the Oilers would do the Flames the favour of taking Wideman so they could maybe sign Russell.

If there was a throw in (Which I doubt) it wouldn't be a top prospect. Maybe a guy like Wotherspoon (Would actually be a good add for the Oilers imo) or Kanzig

Yakupovs value is so low it's almost non-existant and likewise the Oilers are not going to do Calgary any favours with Widemans salary. Yak might be able to salvage a career in the NHL but not with Edmonton.

Edmonton has plenty of bottom pairing guys. Too many infact
