I found it funny that Tim’s hockey challenge had him listed as an option for the canes today. Now that would be impressiveJesse was skating in uniform this morning

Heard he was having visa issues and would be joining the canes Monday earlier today.I think he may have flown to Vegas today to meet up with the canes
Yup my badHeard he was having visa issues and would be joining the canes Monday earlier today.
His numbers lool great in Finnish liiga, so why not.
Does he look to have NHL talent from what you've seen of him?Jesse is still waiting to hit the ice as a Carolina Hurricanes member, didn't play last night against the Habs. Canes won anyway.
In SM-Liiga Patrik Puistola managed 1+1 when his team won 3-1. Puistola is easily recognizable because he is wearing a golden helmet as team's leading scorer. Link to the game recap:
Videokooste: Jukurit - JYP 04.03.2023
Puistola is being coached by a former NHL veteran Olli Jokinen. Since Jokinen was made the head coach 2021, the career's of many players seem to have taken off under Jokinen's supervision, and Puistola can be added to that category. Jokinen just might be the next European head coach in NHL.
Skating and physical play are his weaknesses, so that makes him a longshot. Probably better suited for Europe, but there's always a change. Jussi Jokinen couldn't skate at all, and still managed to have a pretty good NHL career.Does he look to have NHL talent from what you've seen of him?
Go get em Jesse
I think Bouchard and Yamamoto are not long-term fits either. My guess is Bouchard gets a low cost bridge contract for 1 or 2 years. Yamamoto gets traded next off-season.Oil has decided to go with Bouchard and Yamamoto instead of Puljujärvi and Barrie. We'll see how this goes.
Bouchard has (again) been good when paired with a solid veteran. He will be a mainstay, but the cost won't be low. Yamamoto will absolutely be dealt before his current contract runs out, and next game he is hopefully benched in favor of Kostin.I think Bouchard and Yamamoto are not long-term fits either. What do you mean? Forehead is 100% protected. They still can't get him a big enough helmet

Surprisingly I have. Jesse got to play with Aho against the Devils. Canes played poorly, Jesse's performance and instant (old) chemistry with Aho was probably the only bright spot for the Canes. Created some changes, went hard to the net, but had his "Bambi" moments also. NJ is just a very good hockey team right now.Surprisingly, the Canes have been held scoreless in two games since JP joined the lineup.
Has anyone watched him play?

He was moved to Aho line last game. He shot a prime setup from the slot into the goalies chest. He fell a dozen times for the rest of the game.
Currently their JP thread is bitching about his skating and shooting.

I saw the game against NJ, agree JP looked pretty descent, wonder for one thing if he is also playing with a shorter stick, looks like it?he's actually played pretty well
It's bizarre to watch, but he is drastically more assertive for the Canes then he ever was for the Oilers. I don't know if it's just because he's amped up with the new surroundings or what but he's looking like a totally different player so far
NJ's goalie had a hell of a game, JP made a few big plays though
