I think the Isles' goalie will prevent any blowouts; his GAA was 1.83 in 6 games against the BRUINS. I believe this series will be determined by which goalie performs the best. I doubt Sorokin will play in any more games in this series. Thank goodness he played in game 1.
yeah.
i cant believe varlarmov didnt start game 1.
hes been a stud all year.

I think it can be smart for a coach to go after the refs when things are egregiously lopsided. However, I agree the refs are not the reason the Bs lost tonight. Got the short end of the reffing early on, but it evened out by the end of the game. Bs were running some interference just as the Isles were, and Jake got away with a biggie when he crosschecked a dude square in the back of the head with no call. Ref was looking right at it too.
Yup agreed, that was a bigggggie missed on JDB.

Lauzon has to go, looked terrible tonight and I never thought he is much of an NHL quality defenseman. Never did like his play.

The defense is fairly weak after the 1st pairing. They may beat the Isles with this crew but after that I have my doubts.

Bruins will have to play a full 60 every game if they want to advance beyond this round.

Meh. Tough loss, but we always knew the series was going 6 or 7.

New York played really well tonight and they still needed a few bounces to go their way to win. Can’t wait til Thursday. Gonna need to take one back, out on the island..

Honest mistake?? He had a safe play and instead decided to make a risky play. I never said his career is over or he should never play again. I'm just calling the play the way I saw it and there is just no way You should make that play in that instance. It's wonderful that he learned a lesson but unfortunate that it cost us a big game.
He's been too busy watching everybody else overpass and go east-west instead of north-south. Pucks deep, pucks to the net (esp. in OT). Not that f***ing complicated.

I said it in the midst of the first round.

This team is only going as far as this d core can take them.

We’re on to game 3

After DeBrusk got tackled by the guy? He didn’t cross check him in the head out of no where...it’s jake DeBrusk. Lol

Refs refused to make a call on the Isles. A too many men doesn’t make it all above board. That’s quite frankly laughable.

I don’t know if it was the extremely loud ref you suck chant or Cassidy not knowing his place and staying quiet as a mouse...but the refs flat out refused to make a call on white.

and then call Carlo against Komerov...a guy that should be judged the same a Marchand...that put a spotlight on it...

sketchy performance. Series management maybe.

I’m okay with not whining about the officials, even if it works, it’s an embarrassing look. The officials aren’t why we lost.

Mentioned this before. I don't typically believe officials decide games one way or another.

They're human beings, and especially when working in tandem, or trois, they are going to make mistakes.

It has seemed to me that over the Bruins run the past 15 years or so, they have rarely received the benefit of the doubt, likely because as a once physical club often over the line, officals were not obliging.

Especially over the last few years, Bruins or no, officating in the NHL has been putrid. I mean piss poor, arbitrary, ticky tack, lame.

I don't know why this is, except to say that the league office doesn't care, like they don't care (said again) about make up calls, or CTE/blatant hits to the head.

As previously noted, they don't care about the former because that would mean expending energy on reforming a long running, infamous practice.

And the latter? Liability. Lawsuits.

*MONEY.*

I hate Bettman. And he's an improvement on Gil Stein (look up this scumbag), Ziegler (another disgrace) and Campbell.

They all belong in jail with Alan Eagleson.

Oh, wait.

Don’t need to get anxious over winning a game in the Coliseum. They said the same thing about Colombus and their canons. We didn’t lose there. The same thing when we went to Toronto facing elimination. I Don’t remember getting knocked out by Toronto. Likewise with Carolina.

We’re the better team. This wasn’t a good game by us. We’ll go there and win.

Also, Tinordi for Lauzon until Miller’s healthy please

He still cross checked him in the back of the neck though, I don’t see your point.

Can’t cross check him if the guy is in the penalty box. Refs lost control when they refused to call the mugging or anything else...it becomes a street fight at that point...that’s what happens.

At the end of the day, the Isles got the split they wanted too. If we don’t come come ready to play and give 100% we will be down 3-1 going back home. Time to get our shit to together

I liked Lauzon when he first came up. I thought he showed promise, and some nastiness. But he's been getting progressively worse rather than better. Needs to turn it around. Quick. Given those stats they should sit him. But if the do it might destroy him. So I dunno.

Lol it was a net front battle, what about that is a street fight? Jake gave him a few cross checks to the back then a final one to the back of the neck.
