Butch did say it was between Urho and Tinordi for game 5 against Washington. I think Urho is right there in the mix, still.

That's a gamble.

You know what Tinordi brings, and I think he can bring that against the Isles.

Urho? You guys know better than me, but what I see is a prospect in the third, possibly pivitol game in the second round. Is this the time to gamble, to experiment?

I go with Tinordi.

I still thought understand the penalty on Carlo. That was the difference.

I mean, is it normal to get more powerplays once in awhile? That's 6 straight where the Bruins get fewer powerplays.
I mean, I sure have a theory why the Bs seems to routinely get the short-end of the penalty stick.

But it's the type of thing that gets me labeled a conspiracy theorist.

To be fair, they also missed a crosscheck on Zajac. He hit Mac up high and late after a shot.

They didn't call that. So they can't rightfully call the one on DeBrusk.
And the one on Kuraly by Leddy and probably the one on Palmeiri by Hall even though it looked incidental.

I think the Isles' goalie will prevent any blowouts; his GAA was 1.83 in 6 games against the BRUINS. I believe this series will be determined by which goalie performs the best. I doubt Sorokin will play in any more games in this series. Thank goodness he played in game 1.
Well the Bruins scored 3 tonight. Not worried about not scoring, more worried about not skating. That 2nd period was brutal.

When intensity is cranked up

Rask can struggle

Fluttering/abnormal speed shots are also unfriendly for him

We don’t block point shots which makes every one a hold your breath moment. Compounds the situation.

Giving the Isles credit, I’ve rarely seen a team as good at puck battles and keeping the puck in the zone. They pick pucks out of the air and it seems like they have 3 guys in the blue line.

The hemming in must be directly addressed. It’s been clear for years that Butch hates icings, but they might need to rethink Emergency situations. They can’t finesse it by the Isles in our own zone...it spirals out of control.

I liked Lauzon when he first came up. I thought he showed promise, and some nastiness. But he's been getting progressively worse rather than better. Needs to turn it around. Quick. Given those stats they should sit him. But if the do it might destroy him. So I dunno.

Can't sit Lauzon with Miller out. Too big a defensive risk.

Agreed. Perhaps Urho was in the mix because of the 3-1 series lead or perhaps Tinordi got the call because of that. I was surprised to hear UV's name at the time.

This is where it would have been nice to have the pro vet Kampfer in the mix (yeah, I went there).

I would be interested to see what either Urho or Tinordi can do. Tinordi seems the safer bet as the bigger, pro veteran but Urho can handle the puck pretty well and isn't afraid to block shots which is something you can't have enough of.

Bruins may need to go up the middle instead of along the boards... maybe. Investigate this option

Otherwise, staple the puck and bait a few Islanders and start a breakout

Their Ds were cheating in like crazy and it worked. Very TBL style crap. Just run around the ice/circle backwards. And throw pucks on the net and see if it trickles in somehow

If there’s one thing Boston’s D need to do better it’s relying more on the old Pat Burns breakout.

High off the glass. Out of the zone. Soooooooo many pucks dying at the line being kept in the the Isles defenders.

Specifically looking at Carlo and Lauzon. If it’s icing who cares. At least it alleviates the pressure and gives guys a breather

All season long the BRUINS have been weak on the boards; it's a flaw they haven't been able to fix.

The "safety watch" bro going to need to comment on the hit to Kuraly's head as well.

The league will have all the excuses ready. Here’s an idea, see a shot to the head, call it. Don’t look to find a justification. It was a chance to get a grip on the game...but they let it continue...other questionable stuff followed because players will take advantage.

That would rip me enough...but then to call Carlo for some scrum head contact...you can’t make this stuff up.

The league writes the script for you.
