I think it can be smart for a coach to go after the refs when things are egregiously lopsided. However, I agree the refs are not the reason the Bs lost tonight. Got the short end of the reffing early on, but it evened out by the end of the game. Bs were running some interference just as the Isles were, and Jake got away with a biggie when he crosschecked a dude square in the back of the head with no call. Ref was looking right at it too.

I assumed that it wasn't called because he let Zajac get away with the exact same thing a little while earlier when he cross-checked McAvoy in the back of the head after Charlie came around the net and got a shot off. That's why Charlie was kind of laboring after he took the shot.

Nah I don’t think so unless he tweaked something. He did struggle a bit but it wasn’t really on the goals, it was just overall little more jittery than a normal

When intensity is cranked up

Rask can struggle

Fluttering/abnormal speed shots are also unfriendly for him

At the end of the day, the Isles got the split they wanted too. If we don’t come come ready to play and give 100% we will be down 3-1 going back home. Time to get our shit to together

Isles are a well structured team with a very good coach and a very good goalie. Their #1 line has come to life. I'd love to see the BRUINS win in 5, but my hockey sense tells me this series is going 7.

I don't think there is much doubt that we are the better team - but we need to play sharp and smart hockey for a full 60 against grinding teams like this. Teams that play like the Islanders are never easily beaten and to think that they would be is naive. We need to show up and show our superiority in NY.

Also - watched a bit of the Leafs-Habs game after and I almost feel bad for Leafs fans.. haha. Price looked unplayable tonight.

Lol it was a net front battle, what about that is a street fight? Jake gave him a few cross checks to the back then a final one to the back of the neck.

Did you just post the last 5 seconds and drop the mic? Haha

Watch the whole shift as we pass it around the zone. I did.

I mainly noticed because DeBrusk was absolutely battling and got jumped, got up, and gave it back. I was impressed with his compete. Something we don’t see often.

I liked Lauzon when he first came up. I thought he showed promise, and some nastiness. But he's been getting progressively worse rather than better. Needs to turn it around. Quick. Given those stats they should sit him. But if the do it might destroy him. So I dunno.

Carlo also has to play better than he did tonight. He was brutal out there.

Urho seems pretty low on the depth chart at this point, Tinordi would go in if anything. I think he’ll stick with Lauzon though.

All hair Jared!

If you're going to replace a struggling Lauzon with twice broken hands (no one seems to be able to inform if it was the same hand, and even if it wasn't, you try coming back from a shattered hand, even once).

I will take 6'7", 29 year old veteran Tinordi, who can absorb punishment as well as dish it out, as a capable replacement.

He's more than servicable. And at this point, Lauzon should sit. No harm, no foul.

Well hopefully that’s the last time we see them try to coast through a period in the playoffs. That 2nd was ugly.

Still didn’t hear why the Kuraly hit wasn’t a penalty? That said I was more irritated with the linesman tonight and their infinite pump fakes on draws.

In my day (Lol I love saying that now) we’d accidentally on purpose hack a linesman in the hands who kept doing that. I miss those yelps. Sped up draws too which was a bonus.

Anyhoo, quit screwing around with this team. They’re a good club. Boston should be better. Stop gifting them goals and they’ll be fine.

This isn’t my Twitter post. Debrusk got away with an ugly cross check, rewind it back all you want doesn’t really change that. Isles got away with stuff too, I’m not saying they didn’t, but it’s
not why we lost.
