Lauzon and Clifton started the OT. What's the thinking behind that?

Debrusk seemed to bring his bad karma to the second line. Especially to Hall, who was terrible.

Didn't get the good Pasta tonight.

Islanders did a much better job on faceoffs tonight.

2nd period the Islanders owned the front of the goal at both ends. Many sleeping Bruins Dmen.

Marchand is so freakin' clutch.

Lauzon: rookie defenseman bound to hurt you in the playoffs eventually. Too bad it was in such a big spot.

in ot I watched as he trailed an Isles D around the net and up the ice....he takes horribly poor angles and when he does catch up to a D it's a shove on the shoulder versus a hit

his passes gave Hall no angle to shoot...most were push passes to the side of the net

I had hoped he would change in the playoffs....it looks like that lasted about two games
Yeah it was his chance to steal back his second line spot and he proved he is a third/fourth liner at this point. Just doesn’t have the smarts to be a top liner.

He doesn’t know how to play with his line mates. His routes don’t put him in a position to get a pass and shoot. He did play better and was more physical than I’ve seen him all season.
You said it for me. I thought the 3rd line had a better game tonight while the 2nd line while not terrible took a dip in comparison to when Smith is on it. It's not even that he plays terribly but when lines are getting better or worse when a player is or isn't on them i don't know how you can justify playing him. Maybe on the 4th line if he's forced to play his off wing.

Newton, MA.
Smith will be missed; no question about that. DeBrusk did work hard tonight, but he's about as much a scoring threat as Kuraly.

Then put Kuraly on the second line.

DeBrusk is a third line winger AT BEST.

I would place almost anyone else on that second line. You're betting big on this guy, and it is unlikely he'll come through.

I hope Bruce juggles the line again, because I don't see them being effective with DeBrusk.

Bruins can rip a 5 to 1 game easily against these turds. I expect it in next game. We have all world talent here. Have faith in our team guys I've never been so confident. Wouldn't surprise me reel 3 in a row.

I think the Isles' goalie will prevent any blowouts; his GAA was 1.83 in 6 games against the BRUINS. I believe this series will be determined by which goalie performs the best. I doubt Sorokin will play in any more games in this series. Thank goodness he played in game 1.

I’m okay with not whining about the officials, even if it works, it’s an embarrassing look. The officials aren’t why we lost.
I think it can be smart for a coach to go after the refs when things are egregiously lopsided. However, I agree the refs are not the reason the Bs lost tonight. Got the short end of the reffing early on, but it evened out by the end of the game. Bs were running some interference just as the Isles were, and Jake got away with a biggie when he crosschecked a dude square in the back of the head with no call. Ref was looking right at it too.
