It is mind boggling how he could possibly think it was a better option to blindly throw the puck accross the blue line.
The kid made a mistake. However, you act like there was an Isle anywhere near the blue line. Or that it was a blind pass. There was another D man directly opposite him. His mistake was he bounced it off Coyle’s skate.

He’s a kid and he made a mistake. Jesus. This place hugs and kisses players when they do good but beat the ever living shit out of them when they make an honest mistake.

Like living with f***ing Ike Turner.

I'm not upset. I thought it was a great game, lot's of back and forth momentum shifts.

If the Islanders game plan is to wait to score goals after the puck bounces off of shin pads and legs of Bruins... well, i hope they oil that horseshoe up really nice before they shove it up in there as far as it goes.

if by equality you mean the refs adjust as needed, than yes , The NHL has achieved equality. Otherwise your no further ahead than you were in the 70's.

Rask was fine. Lauzon is 10000% responsible for this loss and I don't see how you can argue otherwise.

Watch the replay. He has a clean lane down the boards to a Bruin in the corner and instead pulls up and tries to go cross ice, at the opposing blue line, with two Bruins deep, in OT.

Was it bad luck it hit Krejci? Maybe? It was also a horrible hockey decision.

I focused on Jake again tonight. I don't know what else to say. He plays weird routes, he's slow to change lines, he takes 10 minutes to get going after he takes a hit. He took a backhand shot from above the circles and killed a whole play. He even called off a pass from Hall so he could get off the ice in the last 5 minutes of the game. I'm done - he's not worth keeping on this team if we're going for a cup in the next 2 years.
Yeah the get over blue line weak backhand at net is tiresome. He was a flash in the pan it seems. His biggest knock was low IQ and you can see it now.

No shocker there. As many times as he gets lost and out of position, it's a wonder it's not more goals against. Thank goodness he has an elite goalie and some talented teammates to compensate for his mistakes most of the time.

this is horseshit, bruce. almost every goal was off something.

How about mentioning how horrible the refreeing was instead of calling out the guy who kept is in the game when we imploded after going down 2?? Other coaches do it all the time because IT WORKS!! how many times have we seen brind'amour or berube complain about refs and then the next game the standard is completely different.

That was a bit harsh. Still, in terms of motivating Rask, you never know.

The officiating, what I saw of it, was typically poor.

The B's get a too many men on the ice in the waning moments of the third, get their equalizer, and then the Isles get a PP on a Reilly infraction I still don't understand. I didnt have the volume up, there didn't appear to be a graphic, and you guys were unavailable.

He doesn’t know how to play with his line mates. His routes don’t put him in a position to get a pass and shoot. He did play better and was more physical than I’ve seen him all season.

Still wasn't bad tho. He looked fine. Him and Smitty aren't the same players but he held his own. He got himself to the front of the net. He was a menace. He gave it to Mayfield after getting manhandled by him in the 1st. He was the least of our problems, tbh.

I'm sorry but the Isles are done in 6 max.
Sure, if Boston ups their game and shows the urgency and intensity that they are showing. Can't take a single shift off. Not one. Because they don't. Boston skates Boston wins. Stand around watching and they won't. It's not all talent (witness the laffs). It's intensity and compete level. NYI have it. Boston does too. They just need to bring it every period, every shift. Not 2 out of 3.

So Swayman time??

The 1st goal was a tip by Bruind player

The 2nd one was bad

Third one was bs job by refs.
Nah I don’t think so unless he tweaked something. He did struggle a bit but it wasn’t really on the goals, it was just overall little more jittery than a normal

The extra day between games is now huge. Hope it gets Smith back in the lineup. Miller I think game 4 but hopefully sooner. Extra day to see what we need to tighten up in. Need to be tougher on the puck in their own zone too

I agree, but in fairness Lauzon has been on the ice for 5 goals allowed in his last 50 minutes of 5 on 5 play. Might be time to give him some more shifts with McAvoy to get more help?
