Leafs look very dangerous. Bob had to be on his game. This could still be Leafs in 5. Happy we got the win.

Bob played really well. He could steal a series if he wants. No excuses though Leaf’s need to figure out how capitalize on chances.

good game.. thought the Leafs outchanced Florida but also got a lot more pp time. Leafs will have less defensive lapses going forward so it probably evens out and stays close.

McCabe and Brodie need to be smarter, 2 massive mistakes by them ultimately led to goals 3 and 4 for Florida. Full credit to Florida for capitalizing on their chances. Leafs need to tighten up defensively next game and play smart hockey, no need to make low percentage high risk plays.

I thought the Leafs played a great game overall, Matthews was buzzing all night just couldn't get anything to go for him.

McCabe/Brodie will be better next game, expecting Matthews to start converting on some chances. Bob was stellar tonight, made some huge timely saves.

Leafs looked like the playoff Leafs of previous seasons.

Generate the majority of chances, have a high xgf, win on the deserve-a-win-o-meter...but make dumb mistakes, waste gifted powerplays and give up 1-2 soft goals against.

Kind of the opposite of the Tampa series where they were outplayed for the majority.

No doubt - Panthers play a heavy game and have a lot of skill, but also give up a lot the other way.

Great game to watch despite the loss even the officiating was sound.

Well when the penalties are 6-1 in favour of the Leafs, ‘sound’ is certainly an interesting choice of words for the reffing. Lol!

This was an ugly game by both teams and looked more like an exhibition game. Hope game #2 is a bit more exciting.

The narrative that the leafs just ran into a hot goalie is only part of the story. The panthers best players were better than the top leafs and the panthers had more dangerous chances at even strength. Panthers special teams also killed 4 penalties to the leafs 1. That’s great special teams. Yes Bob was good, and it’s comforting to put it all on that. But the truth is more worrisome for the leafs.
