Surprised but goaltending for us, wont be an achilles heel in the series, for the Leafs maybe.

Plus Lyon beat them down the stretch run no? 40 saves

Also gives us a fresh goalie after the OT win on Sunday then travel etc.

1. The Boston Bruins for cutting short their magical run
It's not only cutting their magical run, but they were all in for this year. They have less top draft picks than us, a worse farm and only 6M in cap space to fill 11 roster spots. They are in a though spot.

Honestly, I like the move to go back to Lyon. Bob didn't inspire the most confidence over the last couple of games and Lyon did exceptionally well against Toronto in his last two games vs them.

Plus, I just know it's gonna play in the Leafs' players head a little because whatever scouting report they had on Bob is out the window now.

How is this a lie? Tkachuk is such a more complete player this year than he ever was in Calgary, and the tide really started to turn for him around December/January, right when coaching starts to dig its tentacles deep into your subconscious.

I highly doubt we get out of that Boston series with last year's version of Matty Tkachuk.

Based on that MT is a smart player who imo already knows how to get better without any input from Mo or any other coach.

Anyone not trolling is welcome.
Ty and just a little background on me I'm from Nova Scotia and a few of my mates are Leafs fans. I hate the Leafs lol.

That's not why I am.pulling for you guys though I genuinely like watching this team play. Outside of the Avs this is the only team I can say that about.

I guess I’m not opposed to it. I’m just surprised. If he can steal a game that’s awesome, giving Bob some rest would be huge too.

I hope his glove side has let all the stinky goals in already and he’s able to get locked in.

Mmm, thought it was weird but now that you mention his previous performance, it actually makes some sense. Best case, he gets into their heads, worst case, Bob gets a few days of rest.

Unexpected but why not, let's try it and see how it goes, not like Bob stood on his head against Boston.

My guess is they put Matthews out vs Lundell line. Need he and Luosty to shine defensively this series.
was thinking the same thing which i think is a mistake with how good they are defensively. Maybe they attach our 4th line when they can with Matthews.

Maybe you should lace up and show him how easy it is?

6 pts in 7 games. Big goal in game 6. Even on the +/- against difficult matchups. Over 50% in the faceoff circle. Guy is just terrible. Obviously didn't have the leadership skills to get us through the series...

What ridiculous fallacy that is lol

The amount of leeway this guy gets is ridiculous. He's our most talented player and paid to be a franchise centre. Newsflash, he's not playing like one so far this playoffs. The credit he is getting is the kind of stuff you give to 3rd line centres playing well.

His metrics in the Boston series were terrible and it matches with the eye test as well.

I agree with the fact that it's going to play mind games with the Leafs.

I don't think you can say though Bob didn't Inspire confidence, and Lyon did.

Hopefully Lyon got a nice rest after starting 12? games in a row.

You are massively underestimating how important coaching is in player development. Like, I cannot overstate how important your coaches are in development. Literally the #1 reason that most guys develop into NHL players is their coaching. Not everyone has that god-given talent ala McDavid.

I'm here now. I signed with the Panthers for the rest of the playoffs.

I think this is a good match. You guys like rats, right? You gotta see the rats we have.

I like metal. For good luck in the playoffs, I start with a song before each game and it gets heavier every time the team loses. Only the Panthers can save you.

I also like analytics. Matthew Tkachuk is the second best player in the league and I will let him elaborate for me.

I'm gonna start you off with a short one:
