NFL is known for this and blackout policies against local fans if they dont fill the house. Panthers want a pro Panther crowd, and they should.
I understand why they are doing it and it will be a very pro Panther crowd policy or not.

BTW Maurice has made us a viable playoff team but special teams need some work.

Duclair will make us proud tonight

I’d put Barkov line on Tavares. Lundell line on Matthews. Bennett line on O’Reilly. Staal line on Acciari

Our special teams is going to be the difference. 5v5 I think we can take on anyone, but our PK is a disaster and we tend to be on the PK often. That could cost us if we don’t get our shit figured out

Leafs get to determine line matchups on faceoffs. Will be interesting to see what they do.

Winning the series against Boston has earned the Panthers a great deal of respect, to be honest, everyone was wrong.
The Panthers also changed the conversation about the Top seed and the wild"card teams, the mantra from now on will be: " just get in, look what the Panthers did".

By winning the series, the Panthers also brought disappointment to many:
1. The Boston Bruins for cutting short their magical run
2. Calgary Flames for proving them wrong about the trade for Tkachuk.
3. The Montreal Canadians, if they beat Toronto, that pick will be in the 30s.
4. To all experts and Doom forecasters, they just focused only in the negatives and got sideblinded.

Toronto in many ways is more even in stats with the Panthers than compared to the Bruins. But when it comes to 5 vs 5 we outperform any team in front of us, this is the key to winning the series, also, if we manage to cut down our penalties by half, our odds will increase by the same percentage.

As the GDT title says it, we are playing with house money, we are not supposed to be here, I expect this series to be much more intense, Toronto is a very good team, they have great players.

The Panthers need to meet the challenge with the same courage as they did with Boston, they already did the hard part, the unthinkable, and I make no predictions, both teams have equal chances, but the Panthers are coming in flying high, their confidence is at all time high, they are not the underdogs anymore.

Let's go boys! And dont get injured.

Here again you guys are an enjoyable team to watch which is what it's all about.

Beers chilling , taco Tuesday chicken wings ready to fire up. Pumped for this game tonight which is good medicine after a tough Avs season.

Requesting permission to join in with you all tonight.

Note to all Toronto fans you are just letting yourselves down in for the inevitable conclusion that you are going to lose this series. The hockey gods have deemed the Florida Panthers their chosen team….sorry.

Anyone not trolling is welcome.

Just funny that it was Barkov's name mentioned. Not anyone else. Could make a roulette wheel of the excuses this guy gets for not performing in the playoffs. Let's hope this series he starts playing like a franchise centre.
Really shouldn't be any debate in regards to Barkov's performance in the playoffs.

Maybe you should lace up and show him how easy it is?

6 pts in 7 games. Big goal in game 6. Even on the +/- against difficult matchups. Over 50% in the faceoff circle. Guy is just terrible. Obviously didn't have the leadership skills to get us through the series...

Interesting tidbit from the 32 thoughts podcast I didn't know about. They were talking about embellishment getting out of hand, and part of it is on the coaches that reward that kind of behavior.

Some coaches hate it, Maurice being one and the other mentioned was Dineen. Maurice has been known to bench guys if they dive or embellish. I can definitely appreciate that mentality and it does feel like we don't see nearly as much questionable behavior from our guys.

Not sure about the Leafs though. They seem to encourage some embellishment (see Bunting, Knies, even Gio), so something Panthers will have to watch out for given how bad our PK is vs. their pretty lethal PP.
Sheldon Keefe is and always has been a f***ing weasel. From his days in junior his reputation precedes himself. I'd bet my house on him telling his boys to use any tactic required to win. He's one of the biggest shitheads in hockey history, time just seems to have forgotten it.

This is why it's a useless conversation.

Many HoFers and cup winners have averaged less than a PPG in the playoffs, with far less impact as Barkov, he can be better no doubt, but this idea he is our 3rd liner now and that rhetoric is just stupid, sorry for the feels, but it is.

He was a ghost last year, better this time.

To be fair, he got much better over the series. Maybe Maurice was truthful and he was sick.

If the Lundell line is going, I'm more than happy to have Barky take care of Matthews and let the Tkachuk and Lundell line go ham

That's an obvious lie but I'll let it slide.
How is this a lie? Tkachuk is such a more complete player this year than he ever was in Calgary, and the tide really started to turn for him around December/January, right when coaching starts to dig its tentacles deep into your subconscious.

I highly doubt we get out of that Boston series with last year's version of Matty Tkachuk.
