Anyone who thinks this team will rebuild is going to be disappointed. The goal every year for papa Jacob's is to give a roster good enough to at least make the playoffs. No way he's going to want to give up that playoff money
They went to 3 Cup finals in 8 years somebody somewhere knows more then us .That said identify weak spots and fix them. But stop and I repeat stop wasting millions of cap year after year on old vets. You can pick them up at deadline dirt cheap.Sweeney is on last legs now.2 yr window I give him to fix centre hole cause he neglected it

Screwing up the lockout, botching the Joe Thornton deal, and bottoming out were the best thing that could have happened to this organization.

It was the only way to shake up the Good Ol Boys Club and bring in an outsider to run the hockey ops.

It wasn’t perfect and we can criticize Chiarelli’s flaws, but it was a needed tonic at the time.

Where are the checks and balances in this smug, arrogant, soft organization?
Perfectly stated! The "check$ and balance$" are all that JJ cares about.

With the smurfs
5 on 5 this series with Charlie Coyle on the ice

Carolina 7
Boston 0

A pathetic effort from one of our highest paid players

I thought the 3rd line of Frederic-Coyle-Smith would be a key for Bruins in playoffs after their great stretch late in season.

Frederic looked like he had turned the corner.

Very sub-par series by that 3rd line and a big reason they lost.

As for Coyle, he was still ways away the best player on that line. Frederic putrid or benched and Smith didn’t produce anything.

You know this from all the business meetings you've attended with Jacobs et al? Everybody says this but none of us know it.

One more year with dk bergy and coyle with claude or trotz running ship . Sway time. Hampus and Charlie 1 and 2 . I'm frigging in!

Yeah strong pass. That ship sailed and I waived it off after 2019. They don't have the pieces to make that happen. Get new management, Sweeny can't get it done. Time to start over, not be Philly just holding on to mediocrity and barely missing or getting in and bouncing. We have an empty cupboard. Its time to reset, not tread water. The longer you tread water the harder the rebuild becomes and longer you don't compete. Seen it happen time and time again in the NHL.

I guess we’ll know when he knows.
That will be a dark day for me. After all these years he’s my favorite all time Bruin.

Mad respect all the way around!

Bergy has done it all...

Yes they did because they had some good teams with multiple future HOFers. I also said at minimum make the playoffs. I'm sure Jacob's would love a cup every year and all those Hine games, but like the difference successful season and failure for Jacob's is making the playoffs.

Sadly this is most likely the case and the fact that our management I don't and most here don't trust or think they can manage a proper rebuild. Hence why most of us who been around long enough say brace for impact, storms coming. Dark years ahead.

The cup was there In 19 . Donny did his job Bruce and players blew it.
I would not exactly say that, we got lucky that TB got bounced early by CLB, otherwise I doubt we make the finals that year. They added Coyle and Johansson who did play well, but we needed a bigger piece to make a difference.

I’m not worried about Bergy. Weather or not he comes back, I think he will, what’s the vision of this team? He can’t be a first line center. We’ve seen over the years that teams go after that first line physically. There is no push back, no guy protecting them. This team needs a drill Sargent. Lol

F@&$ Game 7.

F@&$ overpaid underachieving forwards who can’t finish.

F@&$ Game 7 of 2019 against St. Louis.

F@&$ the 2015 Draft.

F@&$ Game 7 of 2014 against Montreal.

F@&$ Don Sweeney.

And F@&$ Jeremy Jacobs in his F@&$ing liver.

We deserve better than this. So much potential. So much underachievement. Don Sweeney; Cam Neely; Chuckie Jacobs; and Jeremy Jacobs should hang their heads in shame.

I agree. And that’s why I pray they attack where the cap doesn’t exist. I’ve seen enough of Sweeney’s vision. Cam too.

Bruce I’m lukewarm on. It wasn’t him missing empty nets or blowing coverages. That’s on the players.

Now if Trotz or Tortorella become interested then ya. I think going another way could work too.

Bottom line this team needs more skill, more size, more mean. Tall order for one offseason. Fix the top first then work your way down.

At least Tortorella would let the ref's have it for a bad call. Let passion start with the coach.
