Thank you all, have a safe and good summer. I don’t post much during the off-season but will often read all your post. Bruins number 1 fan in Detroit says… “Thank you for another entertaining year, have a great and safe summer and all though the season didn’t end the way I liked I still love my Bruins and always will!” Can’t wait until next season to ride and die with my beloved Black and Gold.

Word is Bergy and Marchand wanted to run it back for one last crack at the ether thing after last season’s loss to the Isles, right?

Well, they tried.

I’d have taken it down to the studs a year early. They waited a year longer.

Probably won’t matter in the long run.

This isn’t the 21 team format that they made the playoffs every year under.

Look at the Red Wings.

As @Gee Wally has said, some of you have not been around for some of the lean years.

We’ve gone from being nostalgic about the 1980s to the 1990s lately.

Remember the mid-late 90s Bruins? They may be coming back.

Bruce went with Foligno Nosek etc entire series.sleepless night incoming.
He didn’t want to ruffle . He did earlier in the season with Gryz and that’s when Bergy got pissed and had to have a talk with him. He didn’t have the control in the room that you might think. I think he liked some of those young players like Steen but he was handcuffed by either management or the leaders on the team.

I am hoping for a house cleaning with Bruce staying, but it does not work that way. ...I am pretty sure Bergy retires, and they bring back Krejci in one of their patented meaningless cosmetic moves.

I do not think Trotz is coming but is an outside possibility. It will be some dunderhead like Milbury or the guy the Isles had a few years ago.

Thank you for everything Bergy!!

If Bergeron is gone, please clear house with management. I really do not want to watch Sweeney rebuild another team and not do I want to see Cassidy coach that team.

Cassidy and Sweeney’s tenure should be tied to however long Bergeron wants to stay around

Tough matchup for them in a tough conference. They pushed them right to the brink. I'm disappointed, but I'm not angry.

I don't think Bergy is done... One more year.
It’s one thing if this team is a contender, but when this management group is going to have the likes of Haula, Frederic, Foligno, Nosek, Grzelcyk, etc. in the lineup, I don’t know why he would come back at this point.

Why put your body through year 19 when your 2nd line center is going to be Erik Haula?

The rebuild I wanted seasons ago still looks to be the right call.

Too many holes. Too many other teams on the upswing with guys just entering their primes.

But I just don't trust the current management group to lead the rebuild.
Crossing sports, but you look at what the Seattle Seahawks did this off season trading Russell Wilson.

They saw their path was blocked and punted away.

Sometimes you have to make the long play.
