I will never understand how people can talk about rooting for one team or another after the Bruins are out. I want nothing to do with the NHL once the Bruins are eliminated. especially these days when the NHL product is so awful and watered down. the only thing that keeps me interested is loyalty to the Bruins. when that's out of the way the NHL and all these other teams can f*** off.

Well I'm Canadian and hockey is in my blood, Bruins or no Bruins. Was watching hockey from my playpen :)
Secondly, there are lots of teams I hate, so lots of teams to cheer against. Healthy? Not particularly, but I like it ;)
Plus Go Looch! (and McD)

100 percent. Now I can cancel the free trial of YouTube tv I had the past two weeks I think I have watched one period of the last two Stanley Cups. I’m in no mood to watch other teams win and do well

I'm sad guys this team was solid . After getting hampus I thought we would at least go to the 3rd round.
Hampus was a nice start... but when your other big move is Josh Brown... and then radio silence. That killed us.

Hell we made moves to make the space, and Sweeney couldn't get it done. Sure there's other factors, but fact is... he didn't.

We waited, we saw. We have some good pieces left... but our question marks are pretty big ones. Mostly down the middle.

Anyways, no first round pick, no 2nd round playoffs, it's kind of lose-lose to be Bruins fan mid May 2022.

While Sweeney's done some good things for this team, overall, as a GM, he's got a solid C to C-. He's put a competitve middle of the pack team together, that had one good run in them, and unfortunately, that's about it. I know he's going to be back. And I know there's solid arguments and rationale from good hockey people, I just don't think Sweeney's gonna be the guy to do it here again in Boston. We waited, we hoped, and we saw the outcome.

The ONLY way I could see Bergy in Montreal next year is if he is retired and wants to take on a front office job with a French team.

It makes no sense for him to go to the 32nd ranked team at 37 years old.
Even then, he could just go work for Ottawa who is truly on the rise.

Bergeron isn't going to tarnish his legacy in Boston to take a chance on that pile of shit Habs team that he grew up hating. It's just his ex-agent running that team, not his father. He doesn't love Kent Hughes that much.

Bergeron finishes with ppg series. + 3. Staal 4 pts. All that Staal over Bergeron is imo .... dumb.
Not really. Staal's job wasn't to score so looking at his points is silly. His job was to limit Bergeron. Just look at the home and away differences to see the results. Ignoring that obvious factor is............dumber.

ullmark lost the first 2, so really swayman won 3 lost 2.
Again, the home and away (line match ups) was the main difference. If Swayman had started the series Ullmark would likely have come in and won games 2 and 3 etc. Right now they are pretty equal, BUT I have no doubt that Swayman will become much better than Ullmark and be a true #1 in time. It's not a bad goalie situation at all.
What we need is goal scorers

Yup. I stop watching once the Bruins are out.

The product that the NHL is spewing right now is absolute garbage. Penalty after penalty to increase scoring just turns the game into a boring spectacle

I honestly see the canes going to finals now maybe pens if sidney is ok.

The Rangers aren't very good, but if they beat Louie the sieve tomorrow, they will cheap shot the hell out of Rod's Angels, especially their old buddy Tony.

Florida or Tampa should take the East to play Colorado or St. Louis.

Disappointed but not crushed is my feeling sitting in a Raleigh hotel room.

The Bruins had to do one thing to advance - win a game at PNC Arena and they couldn't. Why they couldn't will drive the narrative of this board in the coming days.

It’s a great point and I’m sure everyone will be rational and level headed when they post about it
