The Big Smoke (unfortunately)
If that’s really Bergeron’s last game please just hand over the reigns to new management and only keep Hall, McAvoy and Pastrnak. The rest accelerate the rebuild and a manager who can draft.

End of an era and that cap space and second line Scoring cost them yet again. Even worse, Domi was available for peanuts and they passed on him.

Oh and Haula isn’t a second line talent. The people that were posting that this year were flat out wrong and need to own that after calling others out for being critical of him.
Yup. And Hammer and Sway (obviously).

I thought they had a great effort in games 3-6 but this team simply didn't have the depth to match one of the top four teams in the East.

This was the end of an era.
It was a hell of a season and a hell of a ride.

Proud of the team and the coaches for working with what they had.

Changes are coming but they do every year.

At the end of the day it is just a game

The better team won.

I think the Hurricanes outplayed the Bruins by a large margin over the series.
We didn't have much going for us 5on5.

2010 cup 2013 cup finals 2019 cup finals . Hey any wanna of you guys wanna be leaf fans right now ? Were ok guys wish we had one more but I'm glad I saw one cup in my life . Hopefully one more before we go play hockey up there together.
I am when they sign Bergeron for their Cup run in 2023.

I actually wanted to see the Leafs eliminate Tampa, I mean I didn't want them to win a single game after that....but I did want to see it.
How about TB eliminates the leafs and don't win a single game after that? Go Panthers!

The usual suspects turning this place into a toxic dump. Enjoy your summer.
We should be revelling in sunshine and rainbows? WTF do you expect?

Bergeron now holds all the cards:

‘Are you going to solve the second line C or should I just retire. You wasted the cap space the top line provided. Tell me exactly what your doing or I am going to retire.’
How many more over-the-hill guys like Foligno would he like to have next to him going into the playoff wars? If it's true that he pushed for Foligno, they gave him his way. He also (supposedly) had it out with Bruce re: Gryz? I remember a guy named Esposito who thought that he could tell the coach and management what to do. THing is that this management team doesn't have a vision of what they want Bruins hockey to look like. They definitely don't want a physical/tough smash-mouth team. They want a passive team that won't get the owner in trouble in court. There is no real commitment to winning. I do not have the answers but I can say with all of my heart that this team does not in any way resemble the team that I grew up with. I hate passive, reactive hockey and that is exactly what we have.

5 on 5 this series with Charlie Coyle on the ice

Carolina 7
Boston 0

A pathetic effort from one of our highest paid players
The game winner on Coyle also today. You would think that knowing you are already minus two in the game you’d be more focused on defending. Instead, he’s watching a hockey game from the high slot, and Domi pulls up in the seam of the zone D in front of Forbort and has the best seat in the house when a wild pass flies out of the corner. This isn’t a road game in January on back to back nights.

Rooting mostly for Calgary(go Looch), but as soon as Dallas squeaked into the mix, I had foreboding that they might ramp it up. Although the Avs are sitting back, twiddling their sticks, ready to plow everyone under….still
Something about Dallas worries me.

If Bergeron is indeed retiring their may be one silver lining, that is there would be no issues in buying out Foligno's last year. Apparently he and Bergeron are tight and I doubt Sweeney would have the courage to do it if Bergeron returns.

Foligno has to go no matter what. He's not an NHL player anymore, much less one at 3.8 million. There are so many truly good people in this world that also have no business skating for the Boston Bruins.
