I knew Woll and Matthews news before the game was bad news on both fronts.
It does make a hockey watcher wonder.Sheldon Keefe looked like a dead man walking during the handshake line.
Tavares has only 2 career playoff series wins in a 15 year career. Hard to ignore that losing record. I doubt they want him back.Pajama boy interview on sportsnet. Someone ask him if he regrets leaving New York.

One of those he should have lost, cause Trocheck was tripped.Typical pajama boy stuff
Groundhog Day = Leafs PostseasonThis HAS to be the off season that the Leaf’s make an actual meaningful change, no?
How do you come back with the “core 4” again after this?
The point is that Woll was much better in his 2 games. Sam didn’t even know he was in net until lunch today. No idea what his mental state was since Leafs preferred Woll and he delivered in back to back elimination goals.Maybe he let's in a goal at a different time because there's no way all of the series of events occur exactly the same if Woll starts.
Probably will, as they aren't easy to tradeThis HAS to be the off season that the Leaf’s make an actual meaningful change, no?

But, but they're still the greatest hockey team on the planet right?? I mean there is always next year, or the year after etc....And just like their season, all the Leaf fans disappear from the thread they must all be drawing up next seasons parade route
long over due for pete deboer liteSheldon Keefe looked like a dead man walking during the handshake line.
The Leafs aren’t in the same class as Florida, Carolina or the Rangers so it’s irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. A fluky Game 7 OT win doesn’t change anything.Maybe he let's in a goal at a different time because there's no way all of the series of events occur exactly the same if Woll starts.
Meaning they're stuck with an aging Tavares for one more year, and then actually have to replace him after that. All while seriously needing to replacing an aging and not that good defense that demands an aging and not really a true number 1 Morgan Rielly play the part of one to try and prop the rest of the weaker group upNext year is Tavares last year
