Real unfortunate that Sammy had to play today after the Leafs were so confidant with Woll. He was just slightly above average and let in a “softish” goal. That wasn’t good enough.

Anyone blaming Samsonov for this series ought to turn their hockey fan card in. Holy shit. You won 2-1, 2-1 to get it to a game 7 and lost 2-1 on a play where your defender let a Bruin in all alone for the win. Samsonov is literally the reason you were in these last three games.

Samsonov mostly sucks but blaming him in both goals let in in the game is a pretty Toronto's way to react to clutch losses. Samsonov should actually be the last player to blame in both goals...

As good as Price was, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him have this type of performance. Did Swayman even have a “questionable” goal against in the six games he played?
No but I didn’t want to go overboard by saying someone better lol he’s quite impressive and plays so calm that every save looks easy like Price.

The game today clearly showed games 5 and 6 were not about Woll.
They could have easily lost this game all the same with Woll

They could have also won at least one of those 3 games they lost if they had played Woll while he was still able to dress and was sitting on the bench watching Samsonov give up goals and lose.

Samsonov let in a very stoppable goal like a few seconds after the Leafs got on the board.

Woll played the majority of game 6 at 0-0 or 1-0 Leafs, before the Leafs got the insurance goal with just 2 or 3 minutes left, until he got scored on with literally 0.1 seconds left to break his shutout.

Woll was the better goalie all year. I'm not sure why they kept going with Samsonov. He had a bad year, he got waived, he's been bad for more years of his career than not. He was melting down once agains right before the playoffs started. ''Dat vetrin goaltending tho''. He's not even 1.5 years older than the rookie Woll......

Pasta played that shift perfectly, great way to end it after being shit on for days.
Agree. Many shots in the game had the puck hitting Samsonov's chest team logo. Glad Pastrnak took his time and exercised immense patience. He could have just one timed it right off the boards. Was a nice play he made, for sure.

Well played game 7 and series. Pretty much all the games were close. When it is that close, better to have it ended by a great goal, rather than a lucky bounce say off a leg goal. Pastranak made the play with a perfect bank pass by Lindholm. No excuses for either team. Didn't see one passenger tonight. Both Goalies played well, just a took a special play by a pretty special player to win the game and the series. Tip your hat to the Bruins, they got zero out of their 2 top C's Coyle and Zacha, and still found a way to win it. Imagine this team if they had just a good #1 and #2C. On to Florida.

Nope. Perfect bounce. A set play that the leafs defense had no idea was coming. They got burned.
They hardly tried that play most of the game, and when they did it didnt bounce the right way.It bounced their way this time.Perfect bounce,as i said before.
