It's been said, but this was a win the came from the middle of the line up.

Brassard is the very middle of our line up.

If any 2 of Richards, Callahan, Nash, or Stepan can get REALLY going, we'll take this series. The most important one there is Nash. If we're going to win, he NEEDS to be better. That whiffed pass from Cally could have put this game away alot earlier.

I see many differing opinions on Staal's game.

Honestly, I though he had a much better defensive game than Del Zotto, for example.
 
The secret to success in this series is the same as it is any hockey game. Go aggressively and confidently to the net. Players have to to the middle of the ice, in the slot, pay the price for going there, and look for each other.

It's not rocket surgery.

Definitely and I was actually surprised Torts gave him 17 minutes of ice time his first game back. He was good tonight, broke up a lot of passes with his long reach and got the puck out of our zone. Was he paired with Stralman? I honestly can't remember what any of the D pairs were lol.
 
Everytime Holtby gets scored on, he takes off his mask, drinks some water, and watches the replay on the scoreboard. Goalies are creatures of habit.

Fleury takes a lap around the right boards.
 
I really do hate the post game pressers from Torts. He is like a caged animal after a loss, and like a benevolent dictator after a win.

The questions sounded very fair, they were not mindless cliche questions. He should be a cool guy and answer them. It's not like he is above it all, he is the coach. What the **** reason is he at a press conference if not to talk and answer fair questions?

There are two sides to that coin though as well. Caps have hit quite a bit of their own. That crossbar this game by who was it Fehr? And we could have been down 0-3 in this series.

By the way, anyone know if Eric Fehr is related to the Fehr Monsters at all? I don't think they are, but Steve's iPhone wallpaper is a picture of an Eric Fehr jersey, which I find self-obsessive and plain weird if they're not related.

I don't think so since the Fehr monsters are American and Eric is Canadian and wikipedia didn't say they were related.
 
Good win, but I don't think we played well. Too many neutral zone turnovers, and some almost bit us. Nash is turning into the reincarnation of Kovalev with these giveaways going into the zone. I counted at least 4 or so tonight.

Regardless, win game 4 and this is a completely new series.
We were banging bodies like crazy tonight. And with all the penalties called they still missed the high head hit interference on Steps from Ovie, and the elbow to Powe's chin that sent him out. Crazy.....
 
Honestly despite his goal I thought Stepan along with Callahan, Nash, and Del Zotto were pretty brutal tonight. Boyle actually looked real good though and Moore is awesome.
 
That game was insane. The Garden was ****ing electric. Props to everyone in Section 420. You guys ruled.

no they haven't

theyve hit 1 crossbar if i'm not mistaken.

we've hit at least 4 or 5.

plus Moores goal which we all know was in.
