Lol, remove the huge discrepancy in PP, and look at 5 on 5 stats.

HDCF leafs 22
HDCF Panthers 19

Doesn’t seem like the dominance your referring to is accurate.

Lol, you might have a legit argument if the Leafs were getting away with a bunch of infractions but they were the more disciplined team

Sorry that wasn't supposed to be a knock on your D or even comparing to ours D at all (Can understand how it can be taken that way) the Panthers have been great and not as slow footed as I thought.

Don’t worry man… It just gave me the occasion to talk about that non-sense…

I’m not a fan of my team’s defensive-unit, but I hardly understand how experts aren’t qualifying the Leafs’ one suspect too.
Because it really is… I’ve always loved Morgan Rielly, but after him, I’m trying to find a stud or a good one… And I just don’t honestly !

Like you, not trashing on Leafs D, but I really wonder how it isn’t a subject ?

Expected goals the first game were 5.8 to 2.78. 4.12 to 2.89 in the second.
But that's hockey. Big save at the right time. As I remember Toronto won a couple vs the Lightning they shouldn't have too so that's just how it goes.

The funny thing is the Lightning never outplayed us as badly as Toronto has against Florida, in terms of expected goals or scoring chances. The 4-1 comeback game where everyone claimed Toronto was massively outplayed and still won they actually had more scoring chances, shots, hits and goals by the end of the game. Tampa probably still should've won atleast 1 of those games that went to OT but I think when we had 6 players including a defenseman with more points than their top scorer we can safely conclude that the better team won (11, 9, 8, 7, 7, 7 vs. 6, 6, 5, 5, 5, 4). It's not like Samsonov put up some ridiculous save percentage in that series either.

Now just so we're clear, all credit to them if they manage to pull out the series win. I would like to see the better team win and if they close the series out early they were the better team regardless of us doubling or tripling them in scoring chances or not, but I expect the play will be closer in terms of chances from here on out, but we probably still win a few and the series likely goes 6 or 7 games.

If Leaf players made less mistakes as the Refs did they might have won both games

Not wrong. Should be.
McCabe, Brodie and Gio have been an issue tbh. (I was pleasantly surprised by McCabe when he came here though, Brodie is usually reliable, and Gio unfortunately is showing his age)

There's no secret that Toronto's success comes from relying on the big dogs upfront and hope they get adequate D and G.

I'm sure someone will hit me with advanced stats, but we haven't looked good in transition/moving the puck from the backend and tidying up issues. (More so than just getting "goalied" , like alot of people are quick to say)

But I'll tell you right now, if Bob keeps up this level...he'll shoot up the Conn Smythe odds list fast.

Leafs are gonna win the next three games and then get shut out in games six and seven.

Rielly's probably the the Leafs' third best D-man after Brodie and Liljegren.

People pretending the Panthers don't have arguably the softest mental goalie in the league.

Career .900 goalie in the playoffs and a .908 one this entire playoff has .944 and .946 in two games against Toronto. That won't continue especially with the looks the Panthers D keeps giving

Who’s acting like Bob is some unbelievably mentally strong person? He’s had five strong games, we’re just happy he got an extra day’s rest.

Have you been on this site the past 72 hours?

Score effects and unbalanced power plays. Before Florida took the lead in both games 5 vs 5 play was pretty equal.
