Toronto could very well win this series against Florida. A 2-0 series deficit isn't insurmountable.
But when you say that they have been through the pressure ringer, then you must also admit that they have failed much more often than they have succeeded when faced with pressure.
Before finally winning against Tampa Bay in game 6, they had lost something like 10 games in a row where they had a chance to win a series.
They have had a very poor game 7 win-loss record too.
They can beat Florida this series. No doubt about that. But they haven't reacted well to pressure in the past.

lol more like 6 straight first round exits, being told they will never win and can't do it. over coming adversity time and time again, finding ways to win. They have done that with the pressure on them. Hell last series game 6 was probably the peak of pressure on the Leafs as a team

Anyways, not spending all afternoon arguing with haters who will vanish as soon as the Leafs are winning. If someone watched those 2 games and thinks this series is close to over I don't respect their scouting ability.

Hopefully for you this prediction ages better than your Toronto in four games one.
For the record, I think Toronto can still win this series. But it’s on the star players to wake up and start performing like they are capable of. Not relying on lame excuses like elite goaltending or bad luck. It’s past time for this group and excuses.
I was about to say I don't think there was much pressure on them when Matthews and Marner were 19 and 20 years old. The pressure really began in the Montreal series but you're right the most pressure they've faced was this season and they responded well.
Again, I will say that they can still beat Florida this series.
But if we look at past history, they haven't been "overcoming adversity time and time again, finding ways to win.".
In fact, they have mostly found ways to lose.
This year can still be different.
But the past is unmistakable.

Talking about this season. People think I am trying to say they've won before this year? No you guys just don't follow the Leafs aside from seeing when they lose. After all the team they had been through, the terrible start and then losing their top 4 D to injury as the media and fans want blood, coming back and clawing their way back, finding ways to win all season despite tons of adversity in every position.
Finding a way to tune out the noise and win the series in high pressure games., I am saying tonight is nothing this group isn't used to.
