Yes? I haven’t seen anyone saying he’s a mental titan, just saying that he’s had some great games so far.

But you have seen people say it's over all but officially. And I am saying that the pressure is shifting onto the Panthers now. Can only be the underdogs for so long

The pressure is all on the Leafs. After sneaking in as a wildcard and expected to be easy prey for the top team of all time in Boston, Florida is playing with house money. Heads will roll in Toronto if they lose the series. The pressure is almost unimaginable on the coaching staff and the core players with the Toronto media and fans if they lose the series.

Toronto players are used to pressure. There isn't anything that can happen to this team that hasn't happened before. They lose when they should win? Oh no. They've overcome that the past few years.

They have overcome what exactly? They’ve lost under pressure every year. This is probably their last chance with the current GM, coach and core to prove they can win. The media and fans will devour them this summer if they lose to a wildcard team.

Lol, you might have a legit argument if the Leafs were getting away with a bunch of infractions but they were the more disciplined team
Sweet so you agree there was no dominance as that was the point of the post. Guess you agree with the stats.

They might not have won the cup but they've won more than the Canucks have this year and will for quite a while.

Especially the Panthers. They finally got past Tampa Bay. Now the Panthers giving them a hard time.
The thought of the Panthers being better than the Leafs makes many Leafs fans twitch. They’ve spent the last two years poo-pooing any statement that the Panthers were coming on and were now right there with them. If FL finishes this series off, the reality of it might push many of them over the edge.

No, i'm thinking at some point he regresses to the level of player we all know he is. The way the Panthers are winning games is just not sustainable. Very low amount of scoring chances with a very high conversion rate, tons of high danger chances against with spectacular goaltending.
how any leaf fan can talk shit about the panthers right now is mind boggling to me

Expected goals the first game were 5.8 to 2.78. 4.12 to 2.89 in the second.
But that's hockey. Big save at the right time. As I remember Toronto won a couple vs the Lightning they shouldn't have too so that's just how it goes.
Acccording to expected gf/winometer bad reffing bad unfair stuff has happened to us stats we have won the cup 5yrs straight so.....

You are talking as though the Maple Leafs are some seasoned team similar to the 1980-1983 New York Islanders that has been through it all and has overcome it all.

Toronto can still win the current series.

But they haven't done what you are saying they have done.

People pretending the Panthers don't have arguably the softest mental goalie in the league.

Career .900 goalie in the playoffs and a .908 one this entire playoff has .944 and .946 in two games against Toronto. That won't continue especially with the looks the Panthers D keeps giving
lol is this Dubas cause this doubling and tripling down on hot take after hot take is something to behold

Score effects and four to one PP advantage will do that. Florida was better than Toronto at 5 vs 5 for most of game 1 and game 2 was a slight edge to Toronto until Florida got the lead.

Agreed when you take out some good things the Leafs did in the game the Leafs look worse.

They've been through the pressure ringer many times at this point is what I am saying, and they absolutely have done that.

Yes. When you take out the unevenly called penalties and the fact that Florida was defending a lead a good portion of both games the games were both close as reflected by the score.
