Tell me with a straight face that the Rangers are an entertaining team to watch.

They're entertaining to watch if you enjoy a stress-filled rollercoaster ride every time you tune your TV to MSG at 7:00 PM (NBCSN at 7:30 on occasion).

Like for a neutral casual fan, would you want them to watch tapes of Rangers games?

I'm watching more entertaining hockey in the swedish 2nd division.

No. We are New York. If anything, they'd rig it in our favor for a NY team to make the Finals for increased viewership and revenue.

If they were to rig a cup final it would be a leafs or habs vrs vancouver final to get the most ratings ever for a final.

I don't think the Bruins are boring at all. They are a very physically engaging team that embody the closest thing to the Broadstreet Bullies. They are very marketable in that aspect of toughness and playing hard nosed hockey. They are also a much more entertaining team than the Rangers when they get their cycle game going.

So it's been a few hours. I took a nap. Let the loss settle it a little more. And this is how I feel:

I'M PISSED!! Usually I would be complaining about the officiating, because NYR should have had more 4 more Powerplays, but the incompetence of the Rangers PP makes me wonder if that would have even made a difference.

Remember that whole "Safe is Death" motto? I think Torts is taking to that saying a little to much to heart. Rangers are playing way to safe defensively, giving the Capitals way too much time to shoot. And it's killing them.

It sucks because I think the personnel we have is good enough. I just don't think Torts is capable of bringing this team to the promised land. Need a coach. Need a new system.

...And I need one of my teams to win me a ******* championship before I die, because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

There isn't a player he likes on this team outside of maybe Lundqvist. \

Asking for Kane is downright delusional, let alone adding 3 first rounders and Crawford. Chicago wouldnt trade Kane for the entire Rangers roster, he's that good. He is a young elite, offensive superstar who is the best player on the best team in the world.

Patrick Sharp is a world class player, not sure why you'd be upset in getting him in a deal.

LOL @ not trading Kane for the Rangers roster...Kane is a diminutive winger, who is not good on face-offs, and is as soft as they come. Yes, he is VERY shifty, has silky hands, and insane vision, but what good is that as a Right Winger who needs finishers with him? If you think he would come here and put up 80-90 points a year, you are sadly mistaken. If this was 2004, you would be saying no way Richards can be traded! A clutch playoff warrior and Conn Smythe winner, 90 point scorer ( by the way, more than Kane ever scored) and on a cup-winning team. They would never trade him for the best goalie in the game in his prime! Kane is not even a top 10 player in the league. Toews, and Hossa are better than he is. Think Kane scores as much on the Flames? How about the Blue Jackets?

So have at it, i just named 15 players who I would take over Patty Kane (notice how Lundqvist is on the list), now go and dig up some fancy Corsi stats that say Kane is more valuable than Hossa, Toews, and Sharp combined.

If he was a natural center, who is good for 90+ points a year, and was over a head taller than Zuccarello, then he would make my list.

Saying Lundqvist wouldn't return Kane is either being so far up Chicago's ass or just a delusional neutral "fan" who likes to post on HFNYR. Cut it with the anti-Rangers agenda already, you were being pessimistic the whole playoffs last year, and as far as i'm concerned, you have a plate of crow to eat.
