How are people watching the games on the interzones? I don't have regular TV, and I can't watch the games live anyway, have to watch later. I signed up for ESPN+ last night, paid the $10, only to start it up on my Roku and have it tell me there's too much traffic so we shut down ESPN+. This was at midnight last night. I knew I wasn't going to be able to prevent spoilers (Youtube feed etc) so I just went and watched the highlights.

Is there a better way? Anyone else have that experience with ESPN+? I'm probably going to dispute the charges with my bank. Also FYI I'm out of market in NY.

The officiating was the usual playoff standard.
I like using the word atrocious.

Orlov getting slashed in the hands twice in the 3rd period...no call.

Goodass taking for whatever reason a swing as Charlie's head, missed then fell on his ass (because he has the skating skills of a plant) just prior to the disallowed Hathaway goal.

These are interesting pictures, the graphics of the 2nd one look like a 90's video game yikes.

I wouldn't read into it yet.

I had quick hit of food poisoning last week and lost 7 lbs in 12 hours, and felt the dehydration symptoms (headache, fatigue, muscle cramps) for a few days after. Some variations of it (especially Norovirus) lasts for days.

I think they're being cautious with it and if last night were a Finals game he would've been on the ice
really hope you are right friend

not sure if available in the USA but if I`m not at home, I have the CBC Sports App, sadly, have to stomach their PBP team but still good

Bruins win 3-1, still complaining about non calls.

While yes, the officiating was bad (on both sides) - The McAvoy crosscheck definitely stands out, It's hardly anything to let ruin your day.

I swear the Bruins could cruise to a cup and the first thing people will do is pinpoint a missed call in game 3 of the ECF.

Forbort played fine for his first game in weeks; had a couple of turnovers but overall I thought he kept it simple and was effective in his role. I think it's telling what they think of him when he was out there in the final minute to help protect the lead.

There will be a time soon where they need Grz's speed and puck moving/puck retrieval ability to step in, but last night they decided to roll with Forbort's size and IMO it was needed for this game.
For sure. Forbort is clearly trusted a lot in key situations by Monty -- PK and protecting a lead late in the game. With Lindholm under the weather Forbort gave the Bs some needed muscle around the net against a physical team. It was good to see him get the job done when needed.

Awesome to have so many high quality d-men that coach can insert a shutdown specialist such as Forbort. Hockey is a team sport. Have to look at the overall picture. You might lose something in a couple areas by playing Forbort, but those losses can be overcome by the rest of the guys, while Forbort does what he does best and ultimately helps the team.

Once everyone on D is 100% and the situation calls for it Griz will step in and be great. So many options for Monty.

I have FUBO, which has a record function that I use if I can't catch a game live. The only thing that irritates me is that they don't have TNT, so I have to go to a buddy's house or the Buffalo Wild Wings down the road from me if I don't want to miss the game.

Before I give my actual opinion let me get the cliches out of the way. "This is the playoffs anything can happen, gotta take it one game at a time, every game matters, blah, blah, blah"

Now for my actual opinion. The rest of series is just a formality, these two teams just are not on the same level. Bruins didn't look anywhere near their best, in fact I'd say the Panthers were probably the better team for most of the first and second. But even still, the only goal they had was on a disastrous, unforced turnover. And then in the third the bruins flipped a switch and just started dominating like they have all year long. I can see the Panthers winning a game, maybe they get lucky and even win two. But there is zero doubt in my mind that the bruins win this series, Panthers just don't have the depth to compete with them at any position.

I an out of market as well and subscribed to sling tv yesterday and should be set for this series with ESPN and TNT included. I forget if it is the blue or orange sling tv package. They have a DVR which is not great but its better than no B's on TV.

Thanks for the heads up on that, I'll check it out. Just checked ESPN+, it's still shut down. Can anyone else that has ESPN+ confirm that it's busted?

I did the same after swearing at ESPN+ for not carrying it live, and was pretty pleased with Sling. Picture quality was generally good, and only had one instance of slow frame rate that corrected itself pretty quickly.

I love reading the stuff on here, but I popped into the GDT a couple times yesterday and was surprised how much complaining about the refs was going on.

Didnt really think they were any worse than they usually are.

...from the GDT @Johnny4778

You posted this. I have no control the fans at the Garden. The Bs will soon be used to the pressure.

I do wish they didn't chant "we want the cup" this early but they don't care.

"TD Garden fans need not put pressure on team. Media all playing the president trophy shit.

@Alicat
@Ladyfan

Make an announcement please
The only thing accomplished by yelling "we want the cup" is motivating the opposition.

Charlie Coyle really stepped up and led in the 3rd. He's a puck possession monster.

Nosek was hitting everything in sight and Hathaway was his irritating self the second the Panthers tried to get physical
Yes , I’m re - watching the game now. A lot of times when you rewatch a game you notice little details that you missed probably because we are so caught up in the emotion of the game. Nosek and Hathaway played well , Foligno was trying but his leg’s just weren’t there last night.

The biggest reason I started cheering for the Bruins was when I first saw Bobby Orr when I was just a kid

I loved the way he played and also loved how humble he was off the ice, and the same can be said about many of the all-time Bruin Great's over the years...including Bergeron

..each to his own
Me too! It was 1968 I was still in High School.

It wasn't just Orr for me though, it was the fact that the Bruins were rough necks and rocketing from the worst team in the league to possibly the best in literally a couple years with Bobby and the Espo trade. I never watched hockey before that but I liked their style.

Based on what coach said after I don't think he'll adjust it either. This is the way. Situationally Forbort is more important. We have other guys who can drive the play the rest of the time.

In the NHL playoffs in a physical series, Gryz is our #7. Nothing wrong with that, only speaks to be ridiculous depth we have. If he was 20 lbs heavier, he'd be in. That's sports.
A lot of credit should go the the BRUINS' FO for providing this team with the quality depth they have. However, the reason the FO was able to that was because both Bergy and DK signed a one year deal for a total of 2.5 mil. That should never be underestimated or forgotten.

ESPN+ didn't have the Live broadcast, but I can go watch the on demand stream on my phone right now.

Wild. I use two non-standard web browsers, and ESPN+ won't let me log in. I can get it to send me a code, but it won't log me in. Tried MS Edge just now, and I can log in, but it doesn't recognize my ESPN+ subscription, so it sends me to a login page that never loads. Also, the billing page never loads, either. That's three web browsers that ESPN+ won't work with.
