The Sens beat us literally 3 nights ago...

The best thing going for the B's right now and in this matchup is that there's no shootout. The Bruins had 4 more ROW than the Senators this year, and Ottawa is the only playoff team with a negative goal differential.

Even though we've been bad against them, I really think across a 7 game series they'll manage to figure out Ottawa's system and beat it, just like they did against Boucher in 2011.

Regarding the B's last two games of the season, I think it is important to remember that since Bruce became coach the team was on a tear, and had to be to make the playoffs. The players knew this, and were playing playoff hockey, for the most part, the entire time. Once they clinched they must have been extremely relieved and a let up was inevitable. Yes they knew if they had two more points it would have given them a better matchup, but they were spent.

If the Bruins team that played Tampa, that won 4-0 shows up, I like their chances.

far more favorable matchup than the alternative that`s for sure but if Krug and Carlo both can`t go, our boys in tough.

Popped over to the Sens board as I was anticipating a ton of posts about their team licking their chops to play the Bruins rather than the Leafs but didn`t see much of that, most of the posts were about the start time to the game Saturday and the Dixie Chicks forcing Game 1 for Wednesday.

Here comes the snooze fest. I doubt I'll stay awake, to see the end of these games.

I hear ya, that afternoon game could have me fast asleep by 4pm, the 3 on 3 we saw in the final game vs the Sens told the story, never have I seen a less entertaining OT

This will be far from a boring series I think. Think it's going to get pretty nasty and there will be some high scoring games. Bruins win in 6.

Will be tough; but again...this is a lot more promising series for us.

If Karlsson does play, finish every check and make him sore....teams always use to punish Bourque...lets do the same!

Due to lack of defensive mobility... Bruins should shoot at andersen as much as possible to get offensive faceoffs... Best chance to win

I agree, this has legitimate potential for nastiness. Borowiecki and Burrows are the prime candidates.

Considering how much the sens trap.....that could be a good thing.

I personally don't want C.Miller to play...hes a trainwreck in the defensive zone.

Peace Bruin fans. Congratulations on avoiding the Caps first round lotto. Looking forward to the first playoff series between the Bruins and Senators in modern history. Senator fans I talk to see this is about a 50/50 chance for either team.

Sounds about right. Could go either way in my opinion.

This is good news. Call it nostalgia or whatever, but I still loves me a Bob Cole called game.

I have no nostalgia connected to him for obvious reasons, but I mostly feel bad for him hearing him call a game (or rather, try to) nowadays. I guess he still loves doing it or he wouldn't, but it's slightly painful and I'd imagine if I had nostalgic feelings towards him, that pain would only be augmented.

To me Anderson has been the difference every time the Sens and Bruins have met this year. We gotta get into his grill and make life very difficult for him. That seems to be the key IMO.
