Too tired to remember and look it up, but has Beleskey played any playoff games for us?

We now know there are no all Canadian matchups which makes the TV schedule a little harder.

So, for the past 24 hours, there have been exactly 4 possible playoff scenarios - one swap possible in EC, and one in the WC. Can't the TV folks make up 4 schedules behind the scenes, and just hit "SEND" when the final game is over? It may even be easier than that...I know the EC and WC games sometimes interact, but the vast majority of them might not, particularly the Pacific.

Maybe I'm being simplistic, and maybe they just want to wait and give some courtesy to the VAN/EDM game going on. But I wanna know!

You know who else also hasn't had any playoff games with us? Pastrnak. That kinda blows my mind. He was the one breath of fresh air that first season when we didn't make the playoffs.

Looks like Thursday/Saturday for games 1 and 2 in OTT, then, since Dixie Chicks play in OTT on Friday, and you generally don't get 2 days of rest. They typically only schedule 4 games per day (2 EC, 2 WC), so there's no "scrolling down" on NBC's graphic...

And for DVR setters, be warned: Games that go into OT might cause the WC games to start on NHLN. Doesn't affect us as much, but as always, be sure to pad your DVR if you're out and want to cloister yourself.

Out of any of the young ones I expect to see this kid in overdrive.

Yes will be interesting to see how he does in playoff games. One guy who, will have to be better than he has been the last three times they were in playoffs is Marchand. There is no argument in 2011 he was vantastic, but since than not so much. He will have to keep up the way he was this season or it will be a short series,I'm afraid.

Wow, that's a shocker. Surprised they're starting our series so late, but as TVA would say, c'est la vie.

Actually works for us, if we can get Carlo back. Full week of recovery. I like it.

EDIT: For posterity, ignore this whole post. I didn't see "Game 2" above the Boston game on Saturday.

Could USA and CNBC both host games on Thursday? I always thought it was (NBC or NBCSN), and (CNBC or USA), and NHLN for overrun. On weekdays, the past couple of years, either USA or CNBC hosted a day, but never both. So that would put BOS@OTT game 1 on NHLN? Ick for our poor non-New England fans who don't get NHLN.

It will be on NESN ( First Round ) - NBC is blacked out when it is a cable game in NE - Sat will be on NBC ( NO NESN )

Oh yeah I forgot about that....still think that's probably what they'll do for outside of New England though. Can't say I blame them either given Ottawa's style...

YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER folks, it may be NESN + FOR THE 1ST ROUND, TOO, B's are a minority owner

I have no faith at all on this club ever beating Ottawa this calendar year, because it should've happened by now.

Pretty sure NBC is contractually obligated for all the playoff games to be on normal cable TV, so I don't think it'd be on NHLN, especially since NBC doesn't have ownership over NHLN. At the very least NBC would want the game available via NBCSN+, which wouldn't be possible if it's on NHLN. I'm definitely guessing CNBC personally.

If they do that, I would march down to Watertown myself and protest.

They pull that crap for the few preseason games they cover, and I get that. We're the Lunatic Fringe(TM). But while baseball is bigger than hockey, this is PLAYOFF hockey. Bump the Sox to NESN+, especially early in the season.
