Marner and Matthews need to get physical, would love to see Marner throw big hits and Matthews to get into a fight.

Get physical out there, lead by example.

Is he the only player to play hurt during the playoffs ?
yes he is...according to leafs nation. funny how that "wrist injury" pops up whenever he plays like shit. dude scores 69 goals in the regular season, "he's fully healed". Poops all over himself in the playoffs (again) "that wrist must be acting up"

he's proven for almost a decade now to be an average to below average playoff performer, and until he can do what superstars are supposed to do and step up in the playoffs, he will never be the player Toronto fans think he is, and desperately want the rest of the hockey world to believe he is.

lol Marner is 165 lbs. Matthews could play physical and he showed more of it this year but he's had some injury issues in the past. The shoulders and wrists may be too valuable lol

Matthews with injuries may not be a good idea but Marner can play physically, he does not need to throw Scott Stevens type hits, just play physically.

T.O.
A few examples (playoffs vs regular season):

Kucherov: 12.2 vs 14.4
McDavid: 16.6 vs 15.2
Crosby: 13.1 vs 14.5
Pastrnak: 11.5 vs 13.9
Stone: 17.7 vs 15.4
Draisaitl: 20.9 vs 18.2
Tavares: 11.7 vs 12.8
MacKinnon: 12.1 vs 10.6
Point: 19.7 vs 18.3

And I could go on...

And I repeat:
Matthews: 10.0 vs 16.2...

There is a very easy conclusion to draw from this...
It is incredibly obvious that goalies have conspired to play better against Matthews in the playoffs.

If they are engaged, the goals will come.

This series was always going at least 6 and probably 7. Leafs take game 2 tonight and get 3 of the next 4 games at home....
Woah 6 or 7 ? You mean there's more hockey games to be played ? I was told this series is over ? When is the next game ??

Do the Oilers, Kings, Stars and Knights know this???
No, their series was over in 0 games, didn't you know Boston won the Stanley cup after winning game 1 of the first round. Just cancel the playoffs, plan the parade!

For the love of god toronto, raise the puck and pick some corners. Swayman was to dam good taking away the bottom third of the net. get in his way and elevate the puck. Maby wel score more then 2 goals for the first time in 8 friggen games

Yes, the series was over after Monday. Any idea on who Marchand passes the cup to first ?

But....TODAY's Monday. Are you saying a 2-0 deficit is too much for these Leafs to handle?

Maybe you're right. :dunno:

That said, even if Boston rolls over Toronto I don't know if they'd be my pick as Cup winners. But hey, that's why they play the games, right?
