Pretty confident it is Leafs in 5. Bruins do not have the foot speed to handle the Leafs.

I was really hoping the Bruins would be our 2nd or 3rd round matchup because this is a cakewalk, and would’ve been better to have an easier 2nd/3rd round pairing. But oh well.

I've got the feeling this series is going to be long and ugly and whoever wins is going to pay one hell of a price

I genuinely believe we can win but Andersen has to perform, if he struggles were toast so we need at least a 920sv% out of him and the boys need to be willing to mix it up with a physical Boston team

Leafs in 7

Boy..what a difference 5 years makes! The 'red' players are the only ones left from that team back in '13.

Cannot really agree with that.

The playoffs, often the teams are evenly matched. Both teams know exactly what the other is like.

Boston has one dominant line. Hold them in check, the path to win becomes much easier for Toronto.

The rest of the Boston lineup won't score no matter how much forchecking there is.

That's the key game plan for the Leafs.

1. Keep their top line off the score sheet.
2. Make sure the forwards play defense responsibly.

The first point they can do. The second point is like seeing is believing.

Babcock wants to win. Now. He will bench forwards who do not buy in with the defense. He should. Marner was playing the 4th line at times this season. Babcock will do it.

Why on earth would you move Rielly off the shutdown pair? If you don't like Rielly there, then put Gardiner there. But why on earth would Zaitsev/Polak be trusted there. Hainsey/Zaitsev/Polak aren't Vlasic/Suter/Doughty/Subban level D to play heavy shutdown 5v5 minutes. Hainsey-Zaitsev/Polak is an absolutely terrible 'shutdown' pair to be matched up against the hottest line in hockey. Let me rephrase it again. Hainsey has been bad in the 2nd half of the season, Zaitsev's been bad all season-long (getting better though) and you want to put them together against the hottest line in hockey. They're good on the PK but 5v5 is a very different game.

Let me ask you this. What do you think Boston is changing to play against us? Do you think they're splitting up Bergeron/Marchand/Pastrnak to 3 different lines because the Leafs have 3 crazy lines? Nope. Because they're doing what they've had success with. We're going to keep Marleau-Kadri-Marner as our matchup line, and Rielly-Hainsey as our matchup pair.

Feeling pretty confident with my prediction of a quick 4-0 for whoever gets us in the first round. Really not liking the way Anderson is playing lately.
Doubt you'd be willing to put any bets on this prediction tho. Vasi in TB has played the exact same as Andy recently, and Tuukka hasn't done shit all worth fanboying over for. Just choked away the Bruins' chance at guaranteed home ice in round 2 if they make it that far

I vividly remember Kappy absolutely blowing by Chara during one of the games this year. I really think our speed will be the deciding factor and it's going to expose the slower Bruins, but it will certainly be a hard fought battle.

Leafs in 6.

Andersen 10-1 .935 against Boston. Meaningless, but also maybe not.
Why would that be meaningless? I'd be concerned if he was 1 and 10. Or would have that been just as meaningless?

We're 7 and 1 over the last 2 years, Boston can't handle us.

Leafs in a sweep, can't wait to read the main boards after. Lmao

No reason why we can't win this series, were deeper upfront then Boston, and our speed is going to kill their d-man. You would have to assume Babcock is going to try to get Matthews away from the Bergeron line.

Just goes to show how irrelevant that series is to this year. Anytime a bruins fan brings 2013 up your post along with Andersen's 10-1 record and the Leafs record vs the Bruins over the last 2 years will be posted.

They are a good team, but their vocal fans are far to arrogant, hope we can shut them up.

Be very careful there, we get no leniency over there.
Because we are the adults, other fans are children. Accordingly the expectations that we act appropriately are much higher. Only fair, really.

Lmao not giving up my account with my email & password attached to it, nor do I care for having yours. But how about if we're (assuming you're actually a leafs fan) sweeped then I have to put "Certified Idiot" in my profile description until the draft (where it says registered user for anyone that hasn't customized it yet), and if we aren't sweeped then you have to put it in your description?
