Tampa knows how to win games. Including the ones they do not deserve.

The “victimized by the refs” narrative is predictable, but disappointing. Rangers had chances and did everything but win a game they probably deserved. Sucks but it’s hockey.

They’ve got the ability to win two straight. We know this. I wouldn’t bet against it happening for a second, even against Tampa. I think they’re the better team in this series.
Knowing the Rangers, you can never fully write them off lol. That said, even if they miraculously win in 7 again, what are they going to have left in the tank against the Avs?

That's such a stupid take. I am far from it. I argued with the poster you are alluding to and many others that you had to stop criticizing this team and that they had earned the benefit of the doubt and would make a run.

I'm negative bc I said game 4 was a must win if they wanted to win this series and people shit all over that take? I was negative for being realistic? Give me a break.
Based on the game today, game 4 was not a must win. If anything Tampa stole one today and benefitted from some goals igor typically stops and from the officials deciding tripping was no longer a penalty while a stick lift construes hooking.

Copp has been straight up terrible for the last 10 games or so. Strome even worse. Cost us that game. Probably not Tampa would’ve still tied it and somehow would’ve ended up winning in regulation too.

The mentality of this team isn’t on Tampa’s level right now, need to stop sitting around and waiting for powerplay.

Is what it is. Tampa this season was built to be a dynasty. Rangers were built to make the playoffs. They'll meet in the middle in a few years. Jordan had the Pistons. Red Sox had the Yankees.

Drury knows what he needs to do. There will be changes but nothing major. Their 4th line and 3rd pair are among the best in the league with Cup rings to boot.

Panarin has been pretty invisible 5 on 5, and that's unacceptable for a guy commanding 11.6 M AAV. That's a superstar salary right there, and he's been on of those guys that quietly racks up points on the power play, but when the refs put away the whistles like they did tonight, he is no where to be found.

Maybe he’s not being coached correctly, maybe what we are asking our forwards to do isn’t conducive to scoring production.

Blowing that 2-0 lead in game 3 turned the entire series around

Unfortunately, I can't agree with this enough. When/if the Rangers lost this series, it was in game 3 this series was lost. They gave Tampa Bay life and the Lightning have taken full advantage of it; that's what champions do. Unlucky at times, yes, but the Rangers put themselves in this position; they don't have the killer instinct. Too pass happy looking for the pretty play; that shit doesn't work in the playoffs. Strome can't sign elsewhere fast enough.

I'm trying to be positive, and I hope I'm wrong, but I think this series ends on Saturday night in Tampa Bay.

We need a good fourth line.

First thing he needs to do is re-identify who should be considered core players.

Huh? The coaching staff has been pleasing for this team and panarin specifically to shoot the pick and he still refuses to do it much like others on this roster.
