Knowing the Rangers, you can never fully write them off lol. That said, even if they miraculously win in 7 again, what are they going to have left in the tank against the Avs?

Fair question.

That being said, the Avs have (despite deserving the “best team in the league” designation) had a pretty easy road to the Finals. Have they really been forced to truly dig deep yet like the Rangers have throughout their run?

As a Bruins fan, I remember going into the 2011 Final and the consensus was Vancouver was the heavy favorite. Just had more talent. But the Bruins were prepared and wanted it more. And had some understated talent themselves.

Not saying it’s a direct comparison, but I’m not counting the Rangers out against the Avs if they make it. They’ve very well earned my respect and i could see them grinding Colorado down big time.

Bullshit. Vasilevskiy is like that f***ing walrus in the geico commercial. You’re never going to beat him with head on shots. He’s too huge. You have to make him move.
You get guys in front and screen his ass. Make him battle for lines of sight just like Tampa is doing to Igor.

Hes seeing everything. Igor is not.

Tampa is going to the net BECAUSE THATS WHAT WORKS.

that east west shit works in the regular season, in the playoffs? Nope

The 3rd and 4th lines are being used at the wrong times because the 2nd line has been a disaster most of the postseason. This is where ignoring centers all those drafts is biting the team in the ass because Strome is your 2C for a potential deep playoff run. All those years of drafting wingers and defensemen, then letting the good centers we had go because of money.

Agreed so much...I want nothing to do with that guy after these playoffs. He was beyond awful tonight.
If he was more assertive and shot more he could be such a good player. Looks like he isn’t even trying

Every game you can write the same story...we didn't skate nearly hard enough, backhand cross ice passes turn into scoring chances on the other end, Ryan Strome missed an empty net & the Rangers continue to overpass in obvious shooting situations.

Well, the next game will be very interesting. It will show exactly what is the meddle of this Rangers team.

They weren't tenacious enough tonight. But they can definitely win game 6.

Sometimes I think they need to have their backs up against the wall so tight that there is nowhere to go.

Based on the game today, game 4 was not a must win. If anything Tampa stole one today and benefitted from some goals igor typically stops and from the officials deciding tripping was no longer a penalty while a stick lift construes hooking.
Haha. Right. Nyr is wonderful in all their wins and when the other team wins they were lucky or the refs screwed the rangers. Jesus this is throw away high school hockey cry baby crap. These series are battles and you cannot piss games away. I don't know what you saw tonight that convinces you game 4 wasnt a must win. This game was a coin flip tonight, not the slam dunk nyr win many here predicted. You want to play with fire with Tampa that's just stupid. You have them down on the mat and you're staring at a 3 0 series lead and then you let them up from that everyone should've expected this. You can't give a team like tampa any opportunity to bounce back and gain new life. This isn't like playing a series against the devil's...

It's an absolute shame what we have been witnessing from Kreider. A ghost, soft, indecisive. I honestly don't care if he scored 80 goals in the regular season when he's going to turn into a bitch in the playoffs.

I honestly feel the trouba trade and signing panarin is what’s going to kill this team. You can’t have someone who makes 11 million per year not be able to take over playoff games and a defenseman making 7.5 million who is a glorified Ryan Pulock that can’t hit the net unless it’s a chest snipe.

While troubas contract may be trade able down the line, no one is going to touch panarin and this is going to be a terrible anchor and may force the team into some tough decisions in a few years.

The play in the 3rd where he had a chance to lay out McDonagh in the corner was basically a synopsis of his entire playoffs. Just too f***ing soft....just like the rest of this f***ing team. All that "grit" we added made us really hard to play against the past 3 games.
